Description

Don’t you just love how much your child has improved in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing? You never get tired of hearing, “Can I do math?” from your six year old, do you? Of course you don’t.

Thanks to Math Magic, your child can get a big jump on learning arithmetic while loving every second of that education. Math Magic teaches in a way that is encouraging and tons of fun for your little one.

Math Magic uses a combination of your choice of vibrant colours, simple interface and a reward system of stars to encourage and teach kids between the ages of 3 and 8. It’s really easy to use. The child simply has to tap on an answer to solve the problem. Whether they get the answer right or not, a real voice expresses appreciation for the child choosing a response.

Once the correct answer has been achieved, just shake your iPhone or iPod Touch and a new math problem will appear. Five successful answers results in a colored star as a reward.
Math Magic lets you adjust the levels to customize them for your child. Set the maximum numbers to 5, 10 or 20. You can also set the timer to see how many problems can be solved within a specific time frame.

Kids love the Math Magic app because it’s fun. Parents love it because it helps their child get a good start in math and provides constructive use of time during car trips or waiting for food or an appointment.

Much research has gone into the development of Math Magic and it has the seal of approval from the kids involved in the focus groups. Why? Because this app has everything that appeals to a young child’s learning mind.
•Positive reinforcement
•Surprises and rewards
•Very simple design
•Vibrant colors
Want to hear your child ask you for more math work to do? Great, then you’ll get your Math Magic now. It’s that easy

Sweet and simple, hugely useful

This is one of the first apps I got years ago. It is a simple but powerful learning tool. My first child who used this is now in college. I just started using it with my 4 year old. I’m glad it is being kept up. The encouraging kids voices are adorable. This app brings a lot of smiles.

Screen orientation

I have this on my old ipad. I like how basic it is and fun for my kids. But now on my new ipad mini, I can't get it to switch between screen orientations. It's stuck in portrait, but I prefer landscape. Still goes back and forth on my old ipad one. This is annoying.

Cool

It took 5 seconds to load. It might be .99 cents, but it is TOTALLY worth it!!!!!!

We'll still use it, but...

I got this specifically for my autistic son, because it had a visual support (the little magic wand.) Then I was disappointed to find that it was only available in the first two levels of difficulty on addition only. Ah, well. I'm sure his little brother, the math whiz, will use it to practice multiplication and division. A great way to practice.

I played math magic on my moms phone but now that I'm nine Its a little bit boring:(

Dissappointed

If it wouldn't keep crashing, it would be a great app but now It's pretty much useless. I deleted it as it was never updated/fixed.

Good enough for my kids

I have three kids in grades 6 and below. Math has always been a struggle in our family. My oldest one still has problems doing his multiplication. Even though the levels aren't timed, this can be used as a speed test. I do like the customization level and al around worth the $1 I paid for it.

Mom

I can only find where the game gives out girl stickers, what about the boys?

Some updates might make it better...

At first I really enjoyed this app, but after a thorough evaluation I found this app to basically just be electronic math flashcards. I was also not particularly fond of the multiple choice answering system because as a teacher it would be hard to know if students know their math facts or if they were just happening to guess correctly. I think if there was a way to tweak this app a little so it wasn’t just electronic flashcards with multiple choice answers; the app would be more beneficial.

Just fine

No real bells and whistles, so if you are looking for a game for your kids to play this is not it. But it is a very clean and easy app to practice the basics of + - x / As for the other review about not having things on the screen to count, there's a magic wand on the side of the screen, just tap it for each screen and the "counters" will appear under the numbers. My four year old did some math today with the on screen counters. I like the range of questions that I can specify. My kids will definitely be using this app to practice their arithmetic skills.
