It’s literally never updated a new list of daily people for me it’s just a pointless app on my home screen
I agree with quality over quantity, but unfortunately there’s neither quality or quantity being offered. I have stated my age requirements. So why am I being shown people far too young or old? This wouldn’t be too big a problem, if it weren’t for the fact that 3/5 of my daily options were outside my age range, everyday. Moreover, this app offers absolutely nothing original. You can declare yourself neurodivergent with a button, but we can already put that info in a bio of any other dating platform. The UI is just bad and the app crashed on me 10+ times.
The developer of the app don't seem to understand how online dating works, especially in a city like London. Having 3-5 profiles a day means that you'll get very few matches unless you're a 10. Also, based on what info did you decide those 5 matches? The app did not request that many information for me to think that the matching criteria will be strong. Also, has the app developer claimed that this app is for neurodivergent people? I literally seen only one neurodivergent person on th app in the two weeks I have been on this app. In Summary, I doubt this app will be a success for anyone.
Unlike other dating apps I don’t feel overwhelmed and exhausted by constant scrolling. This app hits different.
The design of the app is frustrating as the selections cover the actual profiles so it’s not possible to like profiles - especially the first profile which is the most important. The fact I can’t delete and eliminate the profiles I don’t like is awkward and frustrating. I can’t believe they’ve designed app for neurodivergent people to make it the most unsatisfying and frustrating experience. I’ve just joined but unlikely to stay due to the clunky interface and the lack of control I have when looking at profiles. I’d this was fixed the app could garner more appeal
Really like this app as its not overwhelming with millions of people to go through, added bonus is the venue ideas with discounts, even when im not speaking to people I still get benefit from using the 'club section'
Curious to see where this app goes but for the time being it is essentially Hinge with a more convoluted interface and a cap on the stack of people it shows you (a cap on likes or matches would be more appropriate). My ‘top match’ didn’t even have any pictures uploaded - just a cartoon bear… and when you only get sent 4 people every 24hrs that is a pretty significant factor. I don’t know how many women they spoke to in testing but most of us go through 50+ profiles before sending a like, and that’s a conservative estimate. Also, once you have X’d them you can still see them but can’t access the profile again - either get rid of them from that page once X’d or make them reviewable so we can change the X to a <3 on reflection, if we choose to. Considering how hard the marketing is pushing the app as being for neurodivergent people it hardly comes up in the sign-up process. You can list ‘neurodiversity’ as an interest (whatever that implies) along with ‘beer drinker’, ‘art lover’, etc but to flag yourself as actually neurodivergent you have to go and find it in settings after you finish setting up your profile. Why bother having it twice? This can only add to confusion as most people won’t go looking for the button I found, especially if they think they have already ticked that box by adding it as an interest. The sign up quiz: I would not consider as particularly ndvgt-friendly. It includes a lot of this-or-that options, such as ‘gift-giving or gift-receiving’ and ‘book-reading or book-listening’ which aren’t really black and white (maybe add a ‘both’ button?) I skipped about half of them because neither of the options represented my preference. I guess the jury is still out on whether pineapple on pizza can determine relationship compatibility... I’d hate to think an algorithm was ruling out half the men in London because they were partial to a Hawaiian when I prefer my pizza without fruit.
Seems like we have few profiles per day, which is fine, but it bothers me I can’t simply delete the options. If I don’t feel it with any of the options I should be able to just delete the profiles from my feed. Idk I’ve spend maybe 5minutes in the app. I didn’t like it a bit due the fact I can’t do anything. And I didn’t like at all any of the profiles I had. Deleted my account and the app.
Keeps crashing and reporting issues isn’t simple. Can’t talk to matches due to crashes.
What I love about Mattr is the fact it has suggested dates in there with a discount. The app is always updating these and it’s great to see them helping in a cost of living crisis.
