Description

Introducing Maven: The Social Network Revolution. We're not just a platform; we're a paradigm shift in social networking.
At Maven, we believe in connecting people through genuine interests, diverging from the standard practice of pursuing followers. We've crafted an environment where individuals follow, share, and engage based on shared passions, forging meaningful connections that transcend the follower-focused landscape.

Our concept is simple yet powerful: interests, not influencers. Maven is built upon the belief that people's connections should revolve around their genuine passions and ideas rather than follower counts.
This unique approach offers our users a borderless social experience. Here, connections are formed organically, centered around what matters most to you - your interests.

Experience a network free from the shackles of follower culture. Maven thrives on the absence of pressure to accumulate followers, making genuine connections easier. Within our platform, building a community isn't about amassing followers but rather connecting with like-minded individuals who share your enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity.

On Maven, it's about amplifying ideas, not popularity. We've cultivated an environment where every thought holds significance, devoid of the stifling competition inherent in follower-based networks. Our system ensures that every valuable idea receives equal exposure, fostering an environment free from the influence of likes, clickbait, or dominance by a select few.
Discover a serendipity network built on shared ideas, not followers, not influencers. Engage in lively discussions, discover new passions, and connect with fellow enthusiasts without the pressure of follower counts. Experience a social network revolution that celebrates and prioritizes the diverse interests and perspectives of its users. Maven: Where serendipitous connections unfold, where interests shape your network, and where connections are truly meaningful.

Maven Reviews

No quality control or real discussion

In my time on Maven I learned that without likes or follows, conversations are not very interesting or high quality. The same talking heads such as the bit with green check marks dominate low quality drivel. It’s a know it all space without social norms aside from left wing platitudes and conformist cancel culture.

They are new and it needs work

I agree with the idea, but they could use some of the features that all the others use too. Captioning pictures, not allowing the phone to close when using the microphone, some basic paragraph editing tools to allow for exclamation. Sure I want to keep things short, but by being” this simple “ I’ll pay around longer, but I don’t see this going anywhere.

Thought about getting this app until I realized I might be investing my time in something that, as soon as revenue, investors, and profit come into play everything changes. It's not about the users anymore but the advertisers. It seems like this will give advertisers even more information on yourself and your interests that they will use against you. I'm assuming they will get paid a lot more with this whole interest based thing but tell us this is for your mental health but really brands are going to start targeting people even more hardcore which I argue has been a massive problem no one is paying attention to? Why aren't people not spending why can't they slow down all of a sudden? Yeah AI is being used against us to track us and overrun us with ads until we impulsively buy something. It's ridiculous and I can already see the opportunity in this app and I see nothing about how the users will make some of the money? I'm tired of sharing my data for free and it being used to make me do things deep down I don't really want. It's dangerous. I do not trust this app being any different from the others unless it's like Blockchain and only employees are owners. And this is just frivolous reddit copycat.

Maven gave me food for thoughts, extremely high quality information, and opportunities to change my mind on topics discussed by the community. Fascinating! Refreshing!

A much needed community for open-ended exploration

Kynos Sema on

Since graduating college, I have found it difficult to meet people with whom I could engage in conversations about philosophy/science/technology with openness and curiosity, conversations in which no one is trying to prove their own point or argue against someone else’ but rather in which people engage in a shared, open-ended exploration together. Then I was introduced to Maven: The Serendipity App and that changed — I have once again found myself in a community that focuses on such conversations above all. Engaging with others on the app is now one of my favorite parts of the day.
