How much does MBraille cost?
MBraille has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £21.66.
I bought this app as I was away without my regular bluetooth keyboard, and although the concept is good the help function with all the links which tells you how to do certain things doesn’t work at all so how are you supposed to learn how to use it properly? That was most definitely money not well spent which is a shame as I bought it on recommendation.
Great app!
I love this app and use it every day. I don't know what I would do without it now..'
Amazing App.
With the inclusion of a built in braille keyboard with iOS 8, you'd think apps like this wouldn't be needed. However this app is fantastic. In the simplest terms you've got the braille keyboard part where you can type in Grade 1 or Grade 2 braille in tabletop mode or screen away mode. Works as expected and is rock solid. The text in automatically copied to the clipboard ready for pasting into any text field in any other app. But the real genius of this app is the inclusion of dot commands. With dot commands you can type your message and then on a new line you type the command you want to do such as .tweet, .sms, .mail, and more . It means you can tweet, message mail all directly from within the MBraille app, it just makes doing these tasks so easy and quick. It has great support from the developer, great documentation in the app itself and dot commands for lots of tasks including things like blindsquare, calander entries, making a call, spotify and more. I've only had 3 braille lessons but already I'm so much faster using this app then typing using the default ios keyboard. I know there have been some complaints about the price of this app but to be honest, it you use this app and don't think it's worth the money, well, you're an idiot. lol. Great apps and great coding deserve support.
MBraille Review
I am using this on my iPad Mini. The keyboard is far superior than that on the iPhone 4s. For example I can type proficiently thanks to the keyboard simulating a Perkins Braille machine or similar hardware Braille input keyboard. I will say however that the self voicing mode should be used due to eratic touch behaviour with this and iOS 7's VoiceOver. Very pleased with this and can't recommend this highly enough if you want to be productive on your iPad. Download now!
great
I love this app: use it daily and wouldn't know what to do without it. It makes typing on my iDevice a sinch. It seems the switchable keyboard orientations that make the iphone app so useful aren't included on the ipad version. I'd like to see this fixed in future versions, as well as the beeps you hear when keys are pressed changed to clicks. as I find the beeps a bit weird. the blank line command has the sound of an actual brailler embossing head going back for the nextline. something like this would be awesome. clipboard functions are hit and miss on the iphone version also. I write something then switch to a different app and the text isn't on the keyboard. rhwew. Sorry for the essay. lol.
Fantastic productivity booster for Braillists
I use this app every day for text messages and more. Its quick, efficient, and I've never looked back. If you're an experienced Braillist, you can't go wrong with this one. The developper has done a sterling job and is actively developping and supporting the app, so its going to become even more feature-packed.
Very good ap
It took me a while to grasp the concept, but I now find this to be very useful. I can quickly and easily, produce text with it and I particularly like the fact I can use grade 2 Braille. The only problem I have at the moment is that I cannot seem to use 6 dots to write "for".
MBraille
I purchased this app and have never regreted it. It is now my keyboard of choice. As well as being able to write in grade 2 braille, It has full editing features. It has changed how I'm able to use my iPhone. Do take it for a spin!
LOVE this app!
I prefer this app to The braille touch.
Excellent!
Telling All My Friends About MBraille
So, it's taken me like a decade to really start using this, and now I can't believe I waited so long! MBraille is incredible! I love that I can review and edit text without leaving the keyboard, switch languages with one gesture, and even the clicks while using character echo are very satisfying! I'm telling all my braille user friends about MBraille. The smart keyboard seems to be more adaptable to my fingers than BSI, which I think will help my friends with shorter fingers. :) Thanks for a fantastic app! Keep it up!
