MC3000 FAQ
Is MC3000 free?
Yes, MC3000 is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is MC3000 legit?
🤔 The MC3000 app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Awesome app that allows you to connect via Bluetooth to view, setup and execute personalized battery recipes as one sees fit for their cylindrical cells. I have seen some issues with three aspects of the application that are troublesome. 1. Recipes that are long will stop keeping track or time @ 18:12:15 every time. What runs that long, Refresh mode and a few others. Example: 5000mAh NiCad battery will run for just over 2days in Break-in mode. 2. Bluetooth will drop connection and not refresh. Solution I have found is to close app and reopen to reconnect. Another person stated that they turn off and need to cancel running recipe, but dower want to cancel…try rebooting app. 3. Sort recipes not allowing to sort. The only options allowed to perform is to deletes and cancel. No option to sort as needed unless created in order needed. Thus far, these are the only issues I’ve personally experienced. I will update if there are further issues discovered or resolutions to these issues.
9-19-22 update?
“Added data export option”
Export what data, don’t see EXPORT, or IMPORT in any settings. Can you be more OBTUSE….
It works, mostly
Its the only charger that gives you this sort of control, so it gets points simply for having a working Bluetooth app. However, I’ll always be wary that they don’t really have any incentive to keep this app working. Seems like they are (very slowly) fixing bugs, which is appreciated. The one major bug I encounter currently (and have encountered much more often since the most recent update) is that the app is awful at keeping Bluetooth connected to the device. The only way I’ve found to reconnect reliably is to restart the device, but I do not like to interrupt programs that are currently running. One feature request: these new 1.5v lithium batteries are very useful with devices for whom the 1.2v of an NiMH is not enough. I’m sure I can get them to charge fine by using unusual settings on various battery types, but it would be nice if they were simply added to the “battery type” list.
App is surprisingly useful!
I bought the SkyRC MC3000 to use as a stand alone charger. So I paid little mind to this app for the first 6 months of ownership.
However, now that I’m delving into the app more, I find it quite useful. 1) simply monitoring battery charging without having to travel to the garage is great. I open my phone from several rooms over and launch the app, it connects and tells me what’s going on. 2) I’ve now started creating simple programs in the app. Sure they don’t have all the same features you can get at the machine, but it has enough.
I see other reviews complaining about stuff like “slots are labeled 0-3 rather than 1-4”. smh. The app works, and is a welcome change from the world of crappy apps companies try to foist on you for added value to their hardware.
It just works
I’m not sure what the others that are having problems with the iOS application. Using this application makes using the UI on the device more understandable - but - this iOS application is all that is needed for advanced settings.
Works As Advertised
I know there have been some good and bad reviews online for this app, but I found this app actually works very well. I had to update the charger firmware to change settings via the app but no complaints otherwise. Bluetooth just works (no pairing needed) and the app filled the screen. Now, I just need to play with all these settings and get charging. 😄

Totally Bugs & Crashes
Dear SkyRC team, price for this “super” charger MC3000 is about $100, so you have really good money from it because on practice this device is not so cool as you show it in advertising!
One of important features of this device is Bluetooth which works ONLY with this app, it can’t connect to any device directly, only using this app.
May be you stop cheating your customers and make this app, which is only Bluetooth option, working? The software like this for charger per $100 must works for 100% , it must allow customers works with all functions and settings of device and it must works, not clutching. You guys revise MC3000 software and hardware 3 times, but this app is still useless due to bugs, glitches, functions & settings less.
Waiting for really working application, not “alfa” version like this!
Thank you in advance!
Needs to be updated
The idea of the app is great, but it lacks in functions. Half of what you can do on the charger you can't do in the app. And what you can do is sometimes a little unintuitive. I hope Sky RC is going to make an update fixing that.
Step change
The app crashes from time to time and you have to check you values, which is a downside.
Having said that, wow, what a cool thing! I can make the profile I want and monitor my batteries from my phone. That’s awesome!
I wouldn’t use the app in a life critical situation, but for a hobbyist, it’s great and presses the bar significantly up.
Buggy App
1. Program Nimh batt (4 slots) for Break-in mode:
Capacity: 2500 mAh
Charge Current: 0.25A Discharge Current: 0.50A
(Automatically sets to 0.1C & 0.2C of capacity)
Save the program.
BUG:
Now look at the same Nimh Break-in program.
It shows:
Capacity: 2500 mAh
Charge Current: 0.50A
Discharge Current:0.20A
2. When programming Nimh batt for Break-in mode, Rest Time between cycles should be automatically set to 60, not 0.
