Description
The McCalc Fusion Pressure Calculator is designed to help you quickly find the correct fusion pressure for your job.
To properly heat-fuse polyethylene pipe, the fusion pressure must be adjusted so the pipe manufacturer's recommended interfacial pressure is achieved.
McCalc takes the guesswork out of HDPE and Polypropylene pipe fusion. By selecting your McElroy fusion machine and entering your pipe size and pressure requirements, the recommended theoretical gauge pressure may be calculated.
McCalc offers the following features:
- Easy selection of any of McElroy's hydraulic fusion machines.
- Selection from nine different international standards for HDPE and Polypropylene pipe fusion.
- Pipe size entry in IPS, DIPS, O.D., or JIS units.
- Wall thickness entry using the pipe's dimensional ratio or actual wall thickness.
- Interfacial pressure and drag pressure entry in units of psi, bar, kg/cm², or MPa.
- Multiple-language support including English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Needs to be updated
The only thing this app is good for is to get you your pressures in numbers because as soon as you close the app and re-open it everything is gone
CRash!!
App crashes, and when you reopen it, all stored numbers are gone including timer . Maddeningly when you are in the middle of heat soak!
Heat soak value does not adjust
The bead up number changes accordingly when the pressure unit is changed. The heat soak number does not change when the pressure unit is changed. Be aware. This could cause fusion failures.
App keeps shutting down and resetting so times and pressures disappear.
Could you repair this issue. New model phone and always up to date. App won’t stay running. Keeps closing on its own and when I open it back up all my settings are reset except time running.....
Compatibility Issues!
Used to be compatible with iPhone 5c. Not it is not anymore and therefore can not even download it anymore! Please fix this!
What happened to the fusion pressure
Previous version had fusion pressure. this one doesn't. Bring fusion pressure back to app.

Straight forward layout with good features. Handy when you don't have the slide rule on you and don't want to do math
Update Issue
After the new update the screen if just blank, nothing appears.
