Mech Wars Reviews

Could be better.

I first downloaded this game years ago. That version had all kind of problems. I had every mech/weapon at the time. I downloaded it again, and had to start over. That’s ok, it seemed like a different game, unless my memory is wonky. The version out now is ok, but a bit grindy. It seems like the higher you go, the less you receive after matches. The problem is that as you go higher, prices increase on everything you level up. My major problem is the same as every other mech game I’ve played recently. What’s the deal with spawning on top of people, or getting the same done to you? This seems like a recent trend, especially in mech games. This was never a thing in older games, and I don’t understand why new developers keep implementing this. It’s bad enough when you get killed because you couldn’t shoot the mech with a tiny sliver of health left, only a to spawn and immediately get killed because there was someone right behind the spot you spawned in. I’m assuming they are catering to the low-skilled gamer, as these kills require no skill. Of course, this type of game play spreads. After all, one you are killed 1 second after spawning, you are going to want to return the favor. It’s stupid gameplay, that caters to the worst instincts in people. Implement a safe zone, or spot for spawning. Give a person, and opponent, a couple of seconds to adjust. Otherwise, I probably won’t bother playing, as you can only be so good in games like that. Update: As I’ve progressed, the previously mentioned issues only get worse. Also, this game is like every other mobile game. It wants you to be a long term, daily customer. So, the progression is slow, but can be speeded up with real money purchases. I have no issue with that. These companies don’t pay the rent with “good will” from gamers. My problem lies in everyone’s progression, including the mostly bot opposition, being exactly the same. You encounter the exact same defense techniques that you just gained, used by bot enemies, over and over. For example, the invisibility(cloak)special skill seems cool, until every mech on every team uses it repeatedly, over and over. The strategies for dealing with these situations is very limited. Unless you are in a smaller, faster mech, you are screwed. If you were in a smaller mech, you were probably dead before you got to that spot. It becomes a tedious cat-and-mouse affair, over and over. This game could be very good. They don’t need to reinvent the wheel. A few tweaks and this

How greedy can you get? Also, the bots decide the winner!

The latest update converts the price of ALL weapons, even entry-level weapons lol, to GOLD! Silver is the common currency in this game and is fairly easy to come by. Gold, however, is in much shorter supply. Worse yet, the blueprint system is still a mess. Almost all weapons and robots built this way require several months and several millions in silver to complete. In fact, many of these require so many blueprints by time you are finally able to use them, the computer opponents will have already had them for many levels (and fully maxed out LOL). Of course the process can be sped up by, you guessed it, GOLD! And that’s no small amount either, often totaling well over 10K in gold! Perhaps worst of all, the outcome of matches is now solely determined by the A.I. bots. Obviously, they’re are not enough human players to fill out the rosters and bots are absolutely necessary. The problem is the developers decided to “balance” matches dynamically by using these bots. The better a human plays during a match, the worse their A.I. allies will perform and vice versa. Basically, the game punishes a skillful player and rewards worse players. For example, in two recent matches against another human player, I did about twice the damage, twice the kills (24 out of the 40 team max once), and had half as many deaths as my opponent . Despite this, I still LOST! In both cases my bots were weakened to the point of uselessness. In other words, the bots did all the work for the opponent and nothing I could do would change the outcome. While there have been several updates of late, it’s truly disappointing that they’re mostly for the worse.

Upgrade’s unreachable

This used to be a fun game but now it is impossible to obtain top tier mechs and weapons without paying out the nose. Forget the grinding it won’t happen. Case in point Belatrix used to be meta prime robot takes 4000 blueprints to acquire. If you wanted to spend silver for blue print production (10 at a time every 8 hrs) you have to spend 300k silver each time. The total for this is 210 million silver. Not only that it would take 3,200 hours of time of continuous blueprint production. That’s over 4 months of time. I’m not sure you can make that much silver in that time anyway as earning silver is next to impossible if you’re losing to the top tier players all the time. If you are top player on your team and still lose your payout is only about 100k silver. Wish this game made meta obtainable. I might give it a better review then.

At first, the game looked weird. But when you start it, it’s the best! There are close to no adds, it’s super realistic, and the weapons and mechs are so cool! It’s challenging to level up, but not to challenging literally making me want to play this every day! Please make something else like this! Sincerely:beanslayer999

AMAZING GAME

This is a GREAT game but the only problem I have is that there is tons of multitasking for upgrading your robots and you get WAY too many prizes so it takes FOREVER to claim them.

Play to win

NEVER be tempted to play this game i’ve been in for seven years because I have a good friend playing but they are so messed up. They enhance weapons and robots so skillfully you end up getting tempted to buy products from them but not even 3 to 4 weeks later they nerf everything five years ago everybody was playing and there was a lot of people until some idiot dev thought it would be cool to make everybody weak to buy their products, there was a universal boycott what’s the players play for a month in protest after that, everybody left, because they wouldn’t listen to us based out of the Middle East, this is not TikTok I think it’s worse we all play because we’re friends here in America and some foreign countries and we developed a friendship this review probably won’t even make it in I hope it does. I’m not angry I just wish they would take care of us players. We’re trying to have some fun.

This is not going to work

I think you have screwed up what was at one time a good fun (GAME) 500 gold for a upgrade that you invented and tossed in on top of every thing else There is no way to be competitive in this for me. I will not play a (GAME)that I have no chance to be competitive in. I play to win and if I can not see that there will be an opportunity to win I will not play Sorry you screwed up the (GAME)

M-Hawk weapon totally OP and wrecking the game

Jordan Doty on

This game had been the most free to play friendly mobile mech game out there, but the breakers and medium hawks are so obviously pay to win. I hear the devs may have nerfed the breakers after four years, (we will have to confirm), but the medium hawks are ridiculous. It’s an insta-win for whoever buys them. Developers, what do you have to say to this? Prove you care about the game and the players and balance these weapons. I will leave continual one star reviews until this is done. Don’t be like the devs at war robots and mech arena who have sold out their player community for quick profit. Prove that you are better.
