I switched from Procreate
First I’d be patient I think they are still trying to figure out how to make the app better. I’ll tell you why I choose this. I can’t efficiently illustrate without a fill brush. It’s a very convenient tool for shadows .I do huge illustrations. I need that feature to work in a timely way. Love the multi layer feature on the bucket tool and! The expand feature is perfect. I Love this app. I’m a traditional Sumi artist so nice to see some sumi brushes. I hope they allow more customization with brushes soon. Seems like they are working to make it better. So it’s a buy for me. Thank you for creating this. Oh! The print manuscript guide is most helpful.🙇🏻
It’s great, just one problem
I am not sure if I’m the only one experiencing this bug? Glitch? I don’t know, but whenever I open a layer and select it to either alpha lock it, change bonding modes, etc, it would just close as soon as I open it and I have to tap the layer over and over until it just STAYS STILL. My Apple Pencil NOR my hand are even touching the screen. It’s very irritating and you guys need to fix it asap.
Removed 8 bit layer
Not sure why they did this but I use halftones a lot, now I can’t create them unless I use one of the limited brushes for halftone
And I will always say this…. Why do none of the apps for drawingever have ruler like photoshop?
I like it but I keep going back to my MediBang paint, it feels unfinished
Repeated crashing when trying to export
Not as smooth to operate as it is on PC. It lags considerably and I’m struggling to move between layers, with it crashing at more than once occasion. I’ve tried to export my file to PNG and it just crashes the moment I click on the file type.

All my art gone
So just found out medibang had a new update—new icon and everything. Now all the progress I’ve made on that app is as good as gone. No way of getting it back or restoring deleted art. Just gone.

I *love* that they’re using the Procreate interface. I couldn’t use the old MediBang much because of the interface, but I prefer their brush engine, so I’m glad they’re taking from Procreate. Also, why does it overwrite the creation date every time we save? This was a problem in the first MediBang. Sad to see it happen here. I have to duplicate my files every time. Also, it lacks recording your drawing process, which the original MediBang has. Please implement this. Also, can the app icon be cuter? Thank you!

Procreate competition
App is crazy good and unlike procreate you can clip mask folders which is huge for ppl like me who are accustomed to clip studio paint. I hope in future updates it has some type of dynamic brush scaling like procreate and some brush Imports too. Also another note is 72 dpi being insanely crisp which is suspicious and I gotta figure out why
Wish there were more Textures
I am enjoying the new version of MediBang, though I do wish water and other environmental textures made a comeback in future updates for more efficiency.
No importing of brushes
Very disappointed that this app does not allow the use of .abr files or just simply the import of outside brushes.
