Humorous, fun, long, thought out and immersive
I like this game/fiction/books as stated in the title. There are only a minor few things to criticise to this. First is that these books are definitely tailored for male readers. Most of the protagonists are male and certain contents definitely focus mor eon the male perspective, but that does not mean that this is male exclusive. I am sure that many female readers will also come to enjoy the stories. Second is that there is no major decision with lasting consequences. There are only a few questions that lead you down a totally different path, but usually only for a short amount of time. You cannot make a decision that would lead to a totally new outcome, thus it’s better to treat this as a book than a game. The game part comes from managing three different types of scales (life,mana/favor, moral) which can lead you to fail and contribute to your final score of a chapter. Thus one can strive to achieve a higher score, by remaking certain decisions. Yet again these decisions are only minor changes to the plot and not lasting. Nevertheless due to its style, interwovenness etc. it is quite a pleasant read. And as these 2 points are my only critique and depending on ones own preferences I will still give 5 stars. My personal favourite is the Rogues story. It’s a fun roleplay to get into.
