Toll, aber leider nicht mehr kostenlos

Tolle App, schöne Sounds und Einstellmöglichkeiten. Ein Stern Abzug, weil nach einem Update plötzlich die kostenlose App zu einer bezahlten wurde. Und noch einen Stern Abzug, weil es keine einmalige Zahlung ist, sondern ein Abomodell.

Ein perfekter Timer zu einem inakzeptablen Preis

Ich nutze (nutzte muß ich jetzt sagen) Samsara seit 9 Jahren. Es ist einer der besten Meditationstimer, den ich kenne. Ich verstehe auch, dass der Entwickler nach 10 Jahren kostenlosem Support das nicht mehr kostenfrei leisten möchte. Aber ich bin nicht bereit ab jetzt 23€ pro Jahr dafür auszugeben. Das ist mehr als unangemessen. Ich habe Gott sei Dank einen anderen Timer gefunden, der so ziemlich die gleichen Funktionen für einmalig 25€ bietet. Das ist für mich angemessen. Ich werde also meine Meditationsstatistik exportieren und dann Samsara löschen. Ich finde das sehr schade aber nicht zu ändern. Sollte sich der Entwickler zu einem angemessenen einmaligen Lizenzpreis durchringen können, würde ich meine Entscheidung noch einmal überdenken.

Now you have to pay monthly

I’ve used this app for many years. I don’t remember how much I payed for this app and I don’t have a problem to pay for an app. But I don’t like it when I have to pay 3€ (!!) monthly now for the functions I was able to use before for free over all the years. That doesn’t feel right.

Bester Meditations-Timer

Der Timer hat keinen Schnickschnack oder esoterisch anmutenden Firlefanz, tut genau was er soll und bietet sinnvolle Optionen. Wahlweise Einstimmung mit Gong, zwischenzeitliche Erinnerungen, sanftes Ausklingen mit ansteigender Lautstärke, alles leicht verständlich. Auswahl diverser angenehm klingender Klangschalen, die einen sanft einstimmen oder ausklingen lassen.

Never ever delete a profile...

as all the associated sessions will be removed too. Now this is the biggest flaw this app has. I love the app for being straight to the point and clean, but when I try to clean up the profiles, I get really punished. Yes there is a warning when you try deleting a profile, but please dear Developer, do some magic on this one! 🙂 A really minor annoyance is that sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the timer working with music in the background. Being iOS what it is, I won't be pointing with my finger at Samsara for this issue. That said, I love this app and I probably won't need any other meditation timer app ever again.
