This game is one of my fav games EVER since getting my phone. My favorite cat so far is mango she is so cute. please make another one of these games!!!
I’ve been having great fun in this game, it has good game play, an engaging storyline and a charming art style. However, its friend code system is insane and poorly thought out. When you get a code it is only active for 15 minutes this means in order to swap friend codes you need coordination. Now if you don’t know anyone else who plays the game you see where the trouble starts. Add in how you have to do this five times in order to complete it and you’ve created a Reddit forum that only consists of friend codes rather than actual discussion of the game.
i do not write reviews at ALL but god... i've has this game for about three years now and it's still so fun to play. i absolutely love all of the cats (one of the new ones, kumo, is my new favorite) and every puzzle is so worth solving to furnish their little rooms!!!!! meow tower i love you so much
The game is really fun so far! I’ve done close to 100 different puzzles and have enjoyed the core gameplay loop. This is the perfect game in my opinion to pick up and play 2/3 puzzles and put down for a bit so I’ve had no issues with the pencil system and nothing about the game seems predatory. The puzzles themselves have fun art to go with and the game not overly punishing you for mistakes (which are easy to accidentally make on a 15x15 board when you have big thumbs) is nice. I do have one problem with the puzzles though: The game cheats information for you. I find it helpful that the numbers grey out when you’ve placed them in a line, I.e if a row has 6 and 3 cells to be filled and I fill out the 6, the game will automatically grey out the 6. It clears up a bit of information for your mind and you know that the 6 can’t be anywhere else. However, this is not created in a way to only grey out numbers when you know it can’t be anywhere else. For example you will commonly have rows with 1 1 1 1, and if for any reason you fill a cell in that row using other information, the game will either grey out specifically which 1 you’ve filled, even if you can’t be certain that’s the position of the 1. It might tell you that you’ve filled out the rightmost 1 when you still have multiple empty cells to the right. This breaks the way you play the puzzle because you have more information than you’re supposed to have. I’d love to see this fixed so that numbers only grey out when you know for certain they can’t be anywhere else (see: Pictopix). Overall though really fun game despite that one issue with it, and if that was fixed I’d genuinely rate the game 5 stars because it’s quite nice and cute.
Ads everywhere, including invasive noisy. The nonograms themselves aren’t challenging (always a picture), and the hints autocomplete before they’ve been proven.
This game is what all phone games should be. Each cat is adorable and their storyline is engaging and wholesome. It has very minimal ads (the fewest I’ve ever seen in a free mobile game) and most are voluntary if you want extra pencils to play more levels. I kind of like that it only gives you so many pencils at a time (or my ADHD self would play endlessly for hours) so I like that it makes me take little breaks. My only negative feedback is that I feel like the seasonal cats that you can buy for real money are a little expensive, but they’re optional and you don’t miss out on anything by not buying them. But if the price of the extra cats helps keep the game relatively ad-free, it’s worth it.
I love all the little details and the illustrations are very adorable !!
I haven’t played a game this genuine and full of heart in a long time. If you like Neko Atsume (Cat Collector), nonograms, cats, or just great games, you will not be dissatisfied with meow tower. Thank you!!!
The title is a bit dramatic, but it is true. I have experienced some of the hardest years of my life recently and felt like I was pushed to the edge of being alive. I have worked through numerous coping mechanism with therapists and anyone who wanted to help. One day, my best friend in the whole wide world recommended this game to me and I thought it was adorable so I started playing it. I told my therapist about how soothing and lovely this game was and she recommended it to calm me in times of fear and stress. There were times when petting the kitties and getting them special little memory pieces and furniture was what kept me from bloodshed. People truly underestimate the power of taking care of something else in their own recovery, but I feel pride in my tower and love for these little pixel kitties. When things got really bad I would just play some nonograms or help coco find her socks. I have played this game in the hospital, at crisis centers, and in the cozy warmth of my own bed. Now, as I look back on all of these moments I feel as though I have grown and I could not have done that without this soothing lovely amazing game. from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
