Merge Mansion

im no stranger to this game, since ive seen its ads everywhere the past few years. i never downloaded it but the other day i caved in. it was fun the first hour or so of playing….got a few small tasks done. its been 2+ days now (of basically nonstop playing) and i havent even unlocked the whole driveway yet….3/4 items needed haven't even come up in the game yet. i cant make any progress because the game wont supply me with any new items…..its so much waiting for so little reward. not worth the phone storage

Game slow to play time waiting to continue boring

Unfortunately I’m going to have to delete this very addicting game. While it is fun, the game makes it so difficult to feel satisfied because it takes so long to earn the items necessary to make changes in the mansion. And then the changes are barely noticeable. Too ridiculously expensive. Makes it not fun.

Why is the game 2 different versions??? Some of my friends when they have no energy they can watch a video and get 25 energy for that. I have never seen it. It’s pretty unfair advantage. The crazy part we both have the same updates.

I downloaded this game on December 4, 2021, an have played everyday, multiple times a day since. I love the no adds and reasonable prices on certain items/events. This latest update though, I'm done. Less stars to progress, no more seed from the tree to grow a new one, with the tree, higher levels to merge, but no additional space to keep items. I really would like to know what the person was thinking pushing out this update. This game was fun and had a very intriguing story line that i wish i could finish. But sometimes you just have to throw in the towel an find the next better thing. Merge, i hope you read this and reverse this last update. Also, this latest event, it took me 60 energy before the first duck dropped….

I hate the side games where you have to play the main board to get points to play the side games. Here is why I hate it…Right now I have to get the very last brick paver from the cement mixer in order to get points to play the side game and everyone knows the cement mixer takes a long time to reactivate. So needless to say I won’t be able to play the side game yet again. It’s the little details that stops me from even playing at all.

I’ve been playing for a few years and over all enjoy the game. It is easy, especially early in the game to fill your board and storage making it difficult to get items to merge. The events make it worse since item merges either drop items you also need to merge or you have some item that sits on your board to gain entry to another board. Deep merge trees can leave your board and storage packed with intermediate levels making you perpetually short on space. Late game gets better as you expand your storage, but early game is tough unless you spend money to get gold to buy space. Special events are just money grubbing. They dangle a prize in front of you, like a black ticket, but you won’t be able to get it without spending a lot of money. Often times the complex combinations of deep merge trees to get a limited use generator to get another deep merge tree just to get yet another limited use generator…. Gets ridiculously expensive in terms of costs that you can’t do it without spending money. Most of the special events are not worth doing unless you are willing to spend a lot of money. They’ve recently made changes that added additional levels to some items meaning yet again you have more intermediate levels to store and to make matters worse, they made getting low level items harder to get.. unless you spend money. The recently added trade system is a perfect example of that. Put a lot of effort into getting high level item to get back a low level item just so you can get another task requiring another high level item, do that enough and eventually you get a gift of a low level item for a generator. Beech trees are an example of where they expanded the number of levels while at the same time making it harder to get tree seeds without spending money. Once you expand your storage to max, there is very little value to gold coins. If you got this far, you probably notice a theme. MONEY. If you aren’t careful, they will bleed you dry. I don’t mind spending some money to support a game, and I do buy things in the game fairly regularly. I can get way more enjoyment from other things for that kind of money.

The game is fun enough and the concept is cool, but, like with many games, after the first 5 levels of easy game play, the difficulty of tasks increases to the point that you need to make purchases to make real progress. Sure, you could avoid purchases. But you’d be checking in every few hours of your day to make progress. This isn’t how I like to play games. I take a set amount of time for silly things, like this, and I move on with my busy life. Keeping this game moving without making purchases is as tedious as caring for a small child. Not what I wanted for “entertainment.” Additionally, I was offered a pass to increase my rewards. I didn’t understand the offer well enough though because I didn’t know it was attached to an event. I wound up buying a pass for an event that ended in 48ish hours. The pass was $9.99 and I definitely didn’t get my money’s worth. I was under the misconception that if I bought a member pass that I was permanently given access to those perks because $10 is a lot to spend on a less-than-thrilling time waster, like this. It gets worse though because gems are how you do just about anything worthwhile. They baited me with a, “hey, these tasks will give you lots of gems, BUT, until you have a certain quantity, they’re locked in this piggy bank. Get enough gems and you can open the bank and collect your reward.” When I collected the amount required, I found it costs REAL MONEY to open the piggy bank THEY made me put my gems in. It started as a small fee, with fewer gems - but now I have over 1000+ gems in it and they want $20 to give me my “rewards”. Friggin’ BONKERS!! The mystery element of the game moves INCREDIBLY slow and is uninteresting at the pace it’s running. After spending $30 on perks and not getting much to compel me to play more, I’m very disappointed. I’m sick of games like this. I’ll stick to console game entertainment.

For a free to play game it’s not bad. Matching to level up stuff is fun and satisfying. I might have given it more than 2 stars but it’s pretty crappy that gems you earn from completing quest are collected together and then you have to pay to get them. Basically have to earn the right to give them money. Yea no thanks. I get they need to make money to keep the servers up but this is bull. You can still have fun with the game though.

I have been playing this game for years. With every random update it gets harder and harder to level up. Now with the most recent update the XP points appear further back in matches. Why!!!!???? It already takes makes for a new level.
