I have utilized it and shared it with parents at the Eritrean Association of Greater Seattle. I work with the students there. I’m constantly looking for tools and resources made by Eritrean developers and authors to share with my team. I would like to meet with you via zoom to learn more about how you created such a cool app! Please let me know.
Thank you for explaining . That’s actually a great way. I just tested and looking forward to having my kids work on this. Thank you for this wonderful app!!
I bought this app with high excitement.specially when I read reviews which are almost all good reviews I said to my self”this may be the one that I was praying and dreaming for my kids”.unfortunately I am really disappointed by Everything this app claims to have. This app “claims”to has five sections.Alphabet,Listening,Reading,Spelling and more section.the only section that I am able to open is the alphabet section ,when you press the alphabets I was expecting to hear how they are pronounced, but they don’t.all the other four sections, they don’t even open at all. The other joke part of this app is the settings part of this app is designed for mute/unmute only-that’s it.infact it didn’t even work for that purpose. I wish if they had a money return option.but for all others who are searching a good app ,please don’t waste your money.you will be disappointed.
And plus it is glitchy and this is a new phone this is the 4 app on my phone
This really is an incredible app for all of the reasons other reviewers have shared — I recommend it to everyone as a way to learn to read & write Tigrinya. The only constructive feedback I have is that once you go through all the lessons once, it’s difficult to repeat them in an organized way. I would love if the app show you which lessons you’ve completed and how many times, and even if you’ve partially completed lessons. This would allow people to repeat lessons in a consistent fashion, which is important for memory retention. (Duolingo is a good example.) Thank you so much for creating this app and hope we will have the honor of continuing to see it grow and improve!
Love the idea. But can’t get audio to work. :(
Very well-designed interface and learning structure. The only substantive critique I have is the choice of voice speakers for the app. I expected to hear the voices of native adult speakers of Tigrinya. Instead the peculiar choice to use apparently non-native (Western) Tigrinya-speaking children has resulted in some deficiencies as it relates to pronunciation. (The word “beles” is an example of a word in the app instruction that doesn’t quite hit the native pronunciation spot.) I understand that the creator of the app likely used the voice of children to appeal to a child audience, and there are not many *native* Tigrinya-speaking children in the diaspora to source as voices for apps like this. The good thing about apps is creators can always consider input from customers and revise/improve their app as they deem necessary. In the end, I applaud the creator for producing an app like this when there is such a lack of substantive Tigrinya language resources on the market compared to languages like Arabic and German. That alone deserves huge credit!
This app is amazing. Keep up the hard work!!!
Noticed a couple spelling errors but overall a great way to brush up on my rusty feedel.
