My jigsaw world.
I have always enjoyed jigsaws, ever since I was a small child. My mother would buy a large one that would appeal to all ages and the dining room table jigged for some time and family of seven ate in the kitchen. Same plan was used for embroidering large pieces of linen , a large table cloth for instance . The latter was most interesting as we were allowed to use whatever colours we liked. We also taught one another different stitches, padding, edging etc. I never learned proper terms for what we did. I am now 82 years old. We were blessed with an amazing mother.
