The app works really well and I’m really enjoying it. However, I’ve noticed that the app will bring up the data for the embedded preview of a raw image instead of one from the raw image itself. I’ve tried this with both a .dng from DJI Mavic 2 Pro and .RAF from a Fujifilm. Both shows the size of 1920x1280 with bit depth of 8-bit RGB which is not the actual data of the raw file itself. A lot of other apps does the same thing so I don’t know if this is a bug with iOS itself.
The MacOS app is expected to support more variety of apps. In my case, it seems not to recognize GPS locations embedded in GoPro video files. Though, “exiftool -ee” shows them.
Have supported and had app since it was released, But seems restore doesn’t work anymore and wants another $60 to unlock. Not worth it. Contacted support several times over the past couple years with no response.
At the time of writing, the app doesn't support WebM files. Didn't have a problem with other file types though.
I have been using this wonderful app for more than two years. Besides all the Editing tools, one of the features is it can show the Apple’s Gain Map HDR imbedded in the image that enhances the image beautifully with vibrant color and details. This is awesome. The same image open and view in iPhone’s Photos app is dull and flat. Sorry Apple.☹️ So this Metaphor app is the best and must have. I don’t know if other similar apps can show that vibrant effect plus the imbedded data. A guy on the web knows how to extract this file and apply it to non- Apple images. But the process is too complicated. I wish somebody use this data and rewrite it to become a “ready to use filter”, that will be awesome. I tried to do it manually with Photoshop to get the same effect but can’t get close.
Best app for managing photo metadata—just one among its many useful features. Easily one of my favorite apps on iPhone.
Could not batch edit or select more than 1 photo. Only allowed editing/viewing of GPS/DATE and nothing else. Not worth downloading until these are supported.
so what "check and edit eXIF metadata" app is doing in "free" section?
I have two different Photos albums. Metapho does not recognice this, and you cannot specify a given album.
