Prettige mensen en gezelligheid

Good, but can be improved

The thing I like the most is the directional ‘Load More’ on the Home timeline. It makes scrolling through older posts one have missed since the last session so much easier. Thank you for this. Here are some suggestions to potentially improve this app too: A translator link at each post that is not the native/system language. Preferably by Deepl. Not sure if this will change the privacy declaration in a negative way though. And Notifications shows that there is a Notification from another user, but not that it is actually a Follow request. This must be checked through the dedicated Follow request link in your own profile picture. This might be hardcoded in Mastodon or the instance, so may be a challenge to ‘fix’ this.

Ik probeer de app te installeren, maar deze start in Hebreeuws op. Kan er dus nu niet zoveel mee. Kan dit gewijzigd worden?

Not working as expected

I’m getting “too many requests” error when trying to do basic stuff in the app such as searching for people.

Cannot paste text??

App is fine but I cannot paste text when I’m writing a toot??

Super goede Mastodon app

Gebruik het met plezier, ziet er prachtig uit en werkt super.

Good interface, poor experience

I liked the UI over the one of the original Mastodon app, but am now back to the latter. Metatext does not perform well on my iphone 12 pro, and seems especially poor in keeping the UI responsive when the backend comms are strained due to the now common server overload. Had to reinstall once to get out of a blocking black screen, had a SQL error being dumped to the screen. Scrolling very bumpy and laggy. Phone gets warm and battery drains. Hope the devs will pay attention to repsonsiveness and multithreading, as well as resource usage. Will return to the app once that’s solved, and by any means: thanks for the FOSS development!

Mastodon at its best with this app

I am delighted with the Metatext app. The interface is very user-friendly and gives you an excellent news-reading/viewing experience.

Best Mastodon client for iOS today!

At this moment this is the best Mastodon client for iOS. The others try hard but miss the simplicity that this client has. I really enjoy using this client!
