Metro Micro FAQ
Is Metro Micro free?
Yes, Metro Micro is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Metro Micro legit?
🤔 The Metro Micro app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I love this app. Although the drivers do not know their north’s between their south’s and have a hard time going to the correct side of the street for pickup/ drop off it is very convenient for children and adults who are not feeling safe on the regular metro bus. Ever since this site was recommended to me and my toddlers, it is the only form of transportation that I am currently using.
Saved my butt!
My car broke down recently and the metro micro has absolutely saved me! Helps me get to work, get groceries, etc. So grateful, and really hoping this program continues!!
Top Notch Service
This service benefits single mothers and families. The drivers are outstanding and professional.
KEEP FARE $1 OR LOWER!
The City of LA can afford to
make transportation free but chooses not to. LA Mayor Bass signed $13 billion dollars for armed cops to terrorize, shoot, & kill Black and Brown people. Billions of dollars to the LA Sheriff gangs while schools are getting budget cuts. Meanwhile, people are starving, lacking access to quality masks, lacking safe housing. State sanctioned gangs will never keep us safe.
The city can afford to purchase 5,000 new zero emission service buses that would reduce air pollution which is already high and harming people in LA. The city can keep the metro micro at $1 or make it free! They can hire more drivers, expand the areas serviced, expand the hours (i.e make service in the weekends). I want free hand washing stations at bus stops. And masks provided on buses because there airborne viruses that are disabling and killing people. There is so much we can imagine and make possibilities to make life better for us. Thanks to the metro micro, I’ve been able to afford to commute to hospital appointments, the grocery store, pick up my meds from cvs. Resources like this really matter and it would hurt if fare increases because I can barely travel w/ my budget and wages are not getting higher!
Mass transportation belongs to the masses!
it’s… ok
the drivers on this app always cancel on me so while i’m stuck waiting for someone when it says my wait time will be 2 more minutes, they change their mind, cancel my trip, and i have to wait for someone else to take me, wait for them to drop someone else, then wait for them to come here. the rides also take forever when i’m in them. they go the longest route possible. the drivers are almost always rude to me too. but when there’s that one good driver who DOESNT cancel on me, it’s not so bad i guess. it’s annoying to use in my opinion, it’s like the thing id use in worst case scenarios when buses have super long wait times and i need to go somewhere.
Trash
This app is convenient sometimes, but when it’s not, I absolutely hate it. Rides aren’t available two hours before Micro is supposed to stop offering rides. How am I not able to book a single ride from Pasadena City College to New York Boulevard at 8:30 pm? Trash app with a trash booking system.
A game changer!
I cannot praise this service enough. This has made all the difference in my life for someone who relies on public transportation and is on a limited budget. The app is well designed and easy to use--a lot of thought and care has gone into it. just be aware that if you want to use the service during busy times, you will need to book well in advance. I highly recommend this service.
Metro Micro Is Great
It’s a really great program for a few reasons with some conditions. First, it’s really cheap for getting you around the designated zone. Second, they’re able to pick you up and drop off you around bus stops, which makes it good if you need to connect to other modes of transportations.
Things you need to look out for:
1. You need to plan ahead with Micro at least a day in advance. It does get busy in the morning, but in my experience it’s light in the evening (depends on your zone). Sometimes, you get lucky and can get a ride within the hour.
2. If you need to be somewhere on time, you need to plan ahead and request it arrive 15-30 minutes at your destination before your appointment. They do run late sometimes, but in my experience, it’s never more than half an hour (if it is late at all).
3. You do need to walk to bus stops. I consider this a plus because it gets me exercising.
All in all, it’s really good and I hope the continue the program!
Best ride share out there!
Metro Micro is great! It’s much more efficient and cost-effective than any of the others, and all of the drivers I’ve had have been so warm and friendly. I’ve noticed they have regulars, which is a great sign! I always feel safe and get to where I need to be by when they predict I will (usually even sooner!) and I’m so grateful for this service.
Liveable LA
It single handedly makes LA a city with acceptable public transit.
