Absolutely horrible experience

Just use Electroverse instead.

4 prepayments of £40 taken because the app wasn’t working properly.

First time using this app, and it was malfunctioning. It failed to connect on four occasions, and each time (as I later discovered) it had taken the £40 pre-payment charge (£160 in total). I rang the app management company twice, once whilst still trying to connect on the app, when the person who answered said that they ‘didn’t know’ why it wasn’t working properly. After several attempts, (and speaking to them all the while), they then suggested using contactless, which I did, and which worked. However, during this process £160 was taken as pre-payment. This should never be allowed to happen! I rang the app management people back, and the person to whom I spoke said that there could be no immediate refund on the 3 unnecessary extra payments taken from my account, despite their app being at fault. They said that it would not be refunded until 7 days later and were absolutely resolute. This is totally unacceptable and I shall never put myself in the position where I have to use their app ever again. It is tantamount to fraudulent behaviour to refuse to reimburse my account with the money that they took illegitimately. Disgusted.

Can’t get past verification

Installed the app as there’s an MFG bank of chargers round the corner and I’m picking my EV up today. Trying to register an account on the app and can’t get past the verification code state. Have requested a validation code several times and yet to receive an email with the code!

Always issues with this app

One day you would come to charge your car and they’re having maintenance, the other it says user is having a charging session already. Barely able to charge through this app as something is glitching all the time.

Apparently Vauxhall don’t make EVs

Apparently Vauxhall don’t make EVs as not listed under manufacturer?

Really, in 2023 why is this okay?

So I start my journey with this app not impressed. Firstly I can’t add my car because apparently the BMW i3s isn’t in the list and then it charges me for a failed connection. Both BP Pulse and InstaVolt offer a quick connection and pre payment options (which allow you to better manage your money and charge). Pretty sure if this doesn’t improve this will be an app I rapidly delete… guess we’ll see in the next week or so although the lack of a pre payment option may be the deal breaker

Utter piece of 5h*te!!

Desperately needed to charge up and this garbage service was the only option. Two attempts in a row gave a network error message. Funny that there was no network error when they “precharged” my debit card for £80 (£40 per attempt)!! Customer service was a joke and blamed my car (less than a year old) for the error. They also said the £80 hold would be removed within 24 hours. It was removed one week later. (And no, this was not the fault of my bank)

App does not work - apart from taking £40 each time you try to start a charge

Was charging my Enyaq at Thanet mfg, and it worked fine using contactless payment. However, I made the mistake of adjusting my final charge target percentage and for some reason that finished my charging session. £40 Whilst I was waiting I had installed the app, thinking that would be better. So to restart another session, used the app. So unplugged the car, left it a minute, plugged it back in, used the app to try and start the charge. £40 The session didn’t start Did the same again £40 The session didn’t start So did a contactless payment instead £40 Now charging. I’ve handed over £160. Not happy. Called the customer services, not helpful. This system is rubbish! My experience - don’t use the app as it doesn’t work. Don’t expect customer services to help. Don’t use MFG unless you have to. Poor.

No charge status

Second time using their charger, nowhere in app shows charge status or anything, feel I have to stand there or sit in the vehicle because I wouldn’t have a clue how longs left if I popped to get a coffee or a shop!
