Description

miCal is THE calendar that you’ve always wished your iPhone or iPad had! miCal makes scheduling easier, clearer—and better looking—than ever before.

Quick Overview
The dashboard displays your current appointments and events, tasks and birthdays. You can also see the current weather and an overview of the current month at a glance.

Intuitive Controls
Intuitively navigate through your calendars and quickly, easily add events and tasks thanks to predefined settings and simple controls. Standard settings like repeating events and reminders/alarms are just a tap away. And powerful special settings are also available, without sacrificing comfort or control. Swipe through views and open events or days with just a tap.

miCal Understands You
Quickly create events with the new natural language input feature. Natural language input allows you to create events just by describing them. And if you have Siri enabled on your device, you can even dictate your event details instead of typing.

The Total Package
miCal provides complete, well-organized day, week and month views and displays the calendar week in all the important views.

Relax
You don’t need to contort yourself with miCal. miCal supports portrait as well as landscape formats in nearly every view. Use each view however it’s most comfortable for you.

Tasks/Reminders
miCal now supports iOS reminders. Create reminders for all the important tasks in your private and professional life right in the app.

Birthday Manager
Never again miss an important birthday. Get reminders at preset times featuring the music of your choice.

Nice Weather
Five-day weather forecasts plus the sunrise/sunset times, humidity and wind speed for the current day. The dashboard even features a quick summary of the current weather as well as a brief forecast of the coming days.

Comprehensive
miCal offers a unique range of features. Copy, move or send your events. Export your events in the date range of your choice as CSV (for Excel, etc.) or ICS (the calendar format). Set colors for your calendars and individual appointments or automatically add colors based on keywords in event titles.

Up to Date and Secure
miCal communicates with your device’s integrated calendar. miCal works with all the calendar services that your device currently supports (iCloud, Google Calendar, Outlook, Exchange, Facebook Events, subscriptions) without requiring additional configuration. That way, you can store your data locally or via the services you know and trust—it’s up to you. miCal itself does not transmit any data to external services or other servers. That allows us to ensure 100% data security.

Good app with a problem

[Peter.Parker] on

Overall, it's a good app. The major problem, at least for me, it's the poor integration with Google Maps. With Apple Maps, everything works fine: when I tap on a location associated with an event, the Apple Maps app starts and it points to the place. With Google Maps, it simply launches the web browser. There is no direct integration with the app. I have to copy the location manually, run Google Maps, paste the address, and run the search. It's a shame. Other calendar apps do it without any issue. It you, like me, use Google Maps a lot, you better look for another calendar app. If you don't and you are happy using only Apple Maps, you are probably going to be fine.

Perfect Calendar - a must have app

Abzgeek on

I love this calendar. It’s great to see everything in one place for the day. Events, reminders and upcoming birthdays. The week view is really clear too. It’s so well thought out. If I were to wish for anything it would be a widget that shows events, reminders and possibly birthdays too.

Amazing little calendar app

Andy T8 on

Efficient programming low resource app that nevertheless has all the features I need. Multiple custom alerts to get the exact alert you need for any appointment. Not restricted to just two from a list like some. Week and month views have both the conventional calendar view of a column per day and an A(genda) view that just shows the events with their time alongside. The widget keeps showing an event until it has ended - not like Apple iOS calendar that removes it as soon as the START time has passed - which is useless for events like car shows where you don’t have to all arrive at the beginning! But you still want the reminder to show whilst the event is in progress. Just the same for an event like a Road Closure reminder. Stupid Apple REMOVE the reminder as soon as the closure STARTS - yes really! 24hr clock I like. Summary: I like this app so why not give it a try.

Great App - just a tweak needed

RJPortman on

Love the app, the dashboard view is brilliant. Only issue is the diary entry tries to be clever if you use a number or the word ‘in’ when adding an event. It assumes you’re planning a time and or location so splits the entry across two fields.

Needs a lot of work

Sooperhoopsa on

Reminders don’t sound so events are missed. There is no add event button in agenda view. No password protection Coloured events don’t sync the colours to iPad

Natural language input and support don’t work

Winter84 on

The app looks nice and has some nice features, but I really wanted it for the natural language input, which was done so well by the now sadly deceased QuickCal. Unfortunately miCal cannot even recognize the examples given on its help page. I have tried contacting the developer for support, but the only response has been an automated message saying someone will get back to me. It’s been two weeks so far: no active response at all. Why do we have to pay for this app if the developers can’t be bothered? I certainly can’t be bothered to give them more than one star.

My go to calendar

Timfrombattle on

My needs are relatively simple and this app does the job best. It’s 1000% better than the useless Apple Calendar. I can quickly create an appointment, set the duration, multiple reminders, recurrence, location, choose a colour, choose a view and search in the future and past. I don’t need anything else.

Legally invalid but a great calendar.

Camoys on

It's difficult to read because the characters are so small and so wishy washy. Especially outdoors on a bright day. In this respect the the old Mical was miles better. The owners accept this as an issue. Getting people to read very small letters is a strain on the eyes. Have used this calendar for a long time. I want the facility to 1) Darken ALL or some fonts. 2) enlarge the fonts. 3) Colour all or some fonts 4) Colour each day box. Following the last update I’m very glad to see Sunday has returned to his proper place. With old age the calendar is getting more and more difficult to read for people who are losing their sight. Would the owners please have the höfflichkeit to respond. Thank you.

Good. Used to better: problems in adjusting time for appointments

Paulussem on

The last update messed up a good app. Now the time wheel that allows me to adjust the starting time of a meeting is not showing. I am having to use the iPhone Calendar instead becaus iam unable to change things in this calendar. Please, SORT IT OUT. Update: they have just sent an update and corrected the problem: a 5 star app again.

Good, needs more active development tho

Mountainworx Productions on

Overall it's a great app. It has some great functionality such as; - seeing other things in your calender when creating events - Great selection of views - Detailed event screen. But there are a few snags which make it somewhat unusable - Sync is sporadic at best. I found it often didn't notify me or if it did, it was late - the great event creation functionality doesn't apply to tasks, which are harder to create (no natural language) - Font can be difficult to read against the background
