Make it for Apple TV!
I am having issues the paddle directing with my finger and Apple pencil playing your game on my Apple iPad. It’s difficult to follow, some delayed response. My accessibility within my windows is not enabled. I have to hit the home key; circular button below screen. Other than that I am a new player and enjoying your game. Thank you, Justine Lo
Even after paying for this game, you’re obliged to buy upgrades to keep going or not be severely delayed in playing new levels. Too bad because otherwise it’s a fun and inventive game.
I reviewed in January as best game BUT since then you’ve added pop up ads DURING level play…wtf? Very disruptive!! Please change this!
1. The negative power up that causes your paddle to be locked in position and you can’t move it is totally unfair and it has no counter so it’s not skill based at all like the insane speed one which can be dealt with with skill which makes it fair. Of course you can always avoid it when it is a red pickup but when it is a random pickup you have no idea and can get this with no chance of saving yourself and you can’t just avoid all random pickups because most of the time they are beneficial. I just think the paddle lock should be removed from the random pickup power up pool. 2. The camera moves when you move from side to side even with tilt screen camera movement off and it’s a small issue but sometimes because the camera doesn’t get there in time you can lose a life even though your finger is on the corner of your screen and when that happens it is super annoying because there’s nothing we could have done to stop it if the ball goes there and our paddles weren’t already on that side of the board.
This game looks great, runs great, has interesting details and mechanics, is even somewhat addictive, but like most brick breakers it suffers from one fatal flaw: terrible pacing. Pacing is what made the original Arkanoid so captivating. The difficulty was fair yet challenging, always engaging the player. Micro Breaker is not that, because it is inconsistent and overall too easy. This fees like a game whose design decisions were driven by micro transactions instead of entertainment, as evidenced by the glut of lackluster ball and paddle upgrades, and the large number of redundant powerups. Most are useless at best, frustrating at worst. The level progression is random and your choices don’t really matter along the way. By far, the most egregious flaws are in the boss fights. The concept of a boss fight is great, but the execution here is completely superficial and poorly thought out. They take a long time, and that is indeed their only challenge: patience. Skill is not required here, and as such it is unsatisfying. That’s not what I want from a boss battle. It’s not a terrible game, but it could and should have been so much more. The graphics, physics, and even sounds are top shelf. That technical foundation is rock solid, but what it needs are a few experiential tweaks to crank the fun and excitement up several notches.
other ads charge only $2.75 to remove ads but these crooks are not beating around the bush when demanding your money when displaying ads every 30 seconds.
All the 1 star ratings are noobs. This is a sick game!! I would play more levels. Bosses are a nice touch. Good job!!
