Secondary Maths Algebra Reviews

Hard to read.

Some1withAcomputer on

United States

Appreciate the pure educational elements here and that theres no paywall. Love the explanations when needed. BUT the fonts against backgrounds are really hard to read. Transparent menu overlaps and also makes it near impossible to read. Make text bigger and bolder, make backgrounds darker/lighter so that it’s clear to read. Not sure how the designer felt this design layout was adequate. It’s just barely usable. Simple fixes would make this a great math tutor.

Fatal Flaw - Readability

Btonal on

United States

The fatal flaw of this game, which is otherwise good, is that the FONTS are very difficult to read against the background images. Possible solutions: 1. Fix the font (larger, bold, drop-shadowed, highlighted, etc.) 2. Fix the background image (lighter images, transparency, turn off, etc). Perhaps you can put this in a settings menu so different users can tweak different settings (Image off or larger font at minimum). I am an algebra teacher looking for a good games for my students.

I used to hate math but I love it now this game makes math so fun I am so excited to do math now

Great teaching game.

Geared toward kids, seems like it was coded by a teacher. However algebraic principles are universal and as a retiree I find it a fun way to keep my mind sharp, i use the flash card option so far. I give it 4 of five stars because it use a little tuning, a more intuitive interface and perhaps more clear instructions as to which options are more child-geared games and which are more for serious study and review of principles.

Could be better

Larsenv on

My teacher made us download this "game". I'm not rating this 1 star because it's an educational game: The jumping game is like Doodle Jump, but the monkey moves very slowly. Every time he jumps, after a second I see this sprite where it looks like the monkey's twitching. Did the developers even think anyone would notice this? Also, you can only jump on planks and every time you answer a problem incorrectly, the monkey falls all the way down to the bottom... You've ever played Doodle Jump? The controls on that game are much more slick. Also, there's no penalty if you lose or whatever. Whoever made this game needs to reprogram this.

Great and fun

I didn't think there were problems with the games but I don't game much. I will definitely use this with my students if it doesn't cost much by next fall.
