Mila by Camilla Lorentzen Reviews
Love it but missing some features
Love the content and concept of a body positive fit app.
It is missing a few features, i would love to be anle to organize the video, by strength core etc... Maybe a calendar where i can see wich workout i did when, as it is i can just go on the app and it counts as "days i'v shown up'.
Maybe some longer workouts 30-40minutes and some running interval workouts would be nice.
Thanks
Easy to use, good for you
I love the content and don‘t want to miss a single day now that I made these mini-workouts my routine!
I‘m going to ask for sth though: I need my workouts organised 😫 Would be happy if I could sort them in theme (strength, learn, walks etc.) and also see the ones I haven‘t done yet.
Low quality content
I’m disappointed, too expensive for what if offers
Feel good
Camilla has a unique way of making you feel good while doing something. She focusses on making you feel proud fir showing up and taking the time for yourself. I’ve never really been a workout girl but she makes it fun and there is no pressure to do more or be better, it’s just doing what you can. I love this app!
This app is helping me get back into fitness after many years off due to mental health struggles.
This app is helping me get back into fitness after many years off due to mental health struggles. I found Camilla and Jules on tiktok. She has such a positive but genuine personality. I love that the app she created is focused on feeling good in your body and building a good relationship between your body food and exercise. It also has adjustments for every fitness level. I’m so happy to have found this app. Thank you Camilla & Jules. Appreciate you more than yall know 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Very motivating
It’s been hard for me trying to motivate myself after having a child. He’s a year and a half, I’m still nursing, I’ve had a lot of weight gain, and my body just feels bad. This app makes it easy to move without judgement. Even if all I can muster is 15 minutes. Thank you.
Best way to grow a healthy relationship with exercise ❤️
I started using the app 144 days ago (it tracks it for you!) and when I began, I started with the daily energy based exercises. I loved how I could select low, medium, or high energy and be served up three activities to match. Once I started that habit, then I was excited to explore the series that Mila has, mixes of strength, cardio, walking, mindfulness, and habit talks. Again, all curated and one at a time. My adhd brain loves the novelty and also not having to decide what to do! I never felt overwhelmed and I never avoided exercise due to stress either. It helped me feel proud of myself and exercise more consistently than I ever had before. Mila is kind and encouraging, with realistic stepping stones to help anyone love movement and fitness for the joy of it.
Initial thoughts - 5 December 2024
This is my first time using the app. I did ‘fitness fun: full body circuit’ and ‘seated stretch: hips and lower back’.
I tend to use peloton, but I find that quite often they go a bit too hard for me when I’m on my period. I’ve never found a trainer, online or in person, who I felt was calm enough (in both demeanor and workout program) to be a good fit, so that’s why I was trying Mila.
On the topic of content:
Camila is both calm and positive. She seems like an amazing person, so that was a perfect fit.
The class made me feel active, but also like I could keep up even though I was on my period. Another perfect fit.
I don’t know that I would gravitate to Mila on days where I feel like I can really “go for it”, but on days where I want some calmer movement (quite often in my case) this is the perfect app for me.
Lastly, I was a little thrown by a lack of background music. I don’t think I loved it, but it didn’t bother me enough to stop using the app for it.
On the topic of the app itself, I have a few notes:
You can cast the content from Mila to a tv, but if you lock your device it will stop playing (I’ve never seen this behavior before in other apps).
There is no way to search for specific content - I was especially confused because I wanted to see what the Mila stretching classes were like, and I couldn’t find one at first. It took me longer than I care to admit to realize that, in the filters, “mobility” is stretching. Now I’m wonder if this is the term commonly used in British English. In any case, it could have saved me a little bit of time if I’d had a search functionality, but it is more annoying than blocking.
Overall I enjoyed Mila. I would definitely say it’s worth trying.
Amazing!
Really helps me motivate to move my body on a daily basis! I love the workouts and the variety to choose from. I also really like the addition of the series with different difficulty/time commitment levels.
Love it
Oh my goodness I downloaded this to help me with getting in the habit of moving my body every day and I find myself wanting to do multiple workouts in a session
