Military Retirement

Simple and easy to use just plug and play your info and it does VA disability % payout. It works for O’s, CWO’s and Enlisted. Zero problems. They update it every time a pay change for DOD or VA is issued. I retired in 2021 and still use it all the time for helping other people out to who are getting ready to retire figure out exactly how much your retirement check or VA check will be!

It would be helpful if there was a portion for the Medical board like if you were DOD rating is 30% and it’s combat coded not sure if that’s too complicated or there’s too much play in it, but it would be helpful if y’all could figure that out. But I do like the app and it has been helpful during my transition to plan

There are other apps that do this math along with your tsp/taxes/insurance etc, that are free.

TIGHT, concise, and accurate. Nothing comes close. This is the best value in the App Store and my favorite app of all time. My friend was using it and told the numbers were off for the app, so I had him explain to me why, and it turns out DFAS was wrong and the app caught it and now he is getting more money because of the app. In his case the app paid for itself a hundred times over every month. If you really want to know the number, this app is for you!

This is a nice calculator, but it could really be better and more inclusive if it allowed for factors that can be very common like medical retirements. Include option to remove taxes for untaxed pension. You have a similar VA app. Why not combine them into one app? If you have a straight, most uncommon military experience, then this app is great. Not sure that there are that many people who go in and do 20+ years and get out without spending time in a reserve status or get hurt. I guess if you do not want to do the math yourself is is good. But, you do it once and then what? You don’t use the app again?

I’m upset I paid for this app. A few people told me it was good but it does not take enough BRS/TSP info into account.

There’s another app that is free and includes TSP projects. I should have stayed with the free one.

The rating and money for the VA disability is way off and incorrect. Trash of a app.

Please…allow the user to enter their pay entry base date (PEBD) as a saved variable so that they don’t have to continue to update “years of creditable service” every time they change their projected retirement date. Other than that, this app is perfection!

This tool is basic, in my situation it doesn't cover what I need and leaves out if someone is retiring in one of the territories. Decent approximation but lacks utility! Especially for $5.
