Fun game. No Adds!

Extreme mode made me happy

They added extreme mode, so now not only is the interface great, but they fixed the gameplay to match the original minesweeper. Thank you devs!

Two improvements needed

Meshain on

New Zealand

Overall, the best modern, mobile implementation of minesweeper I’ve seen. I can only suggest two improvements. The first one is critical. 1. If I lose a game, I want some time to see where I went wrong. The game I lost disappears immediately. I want a way to view a lost game at my own pace. As it stands it’s very frustrating. I blow up and think “What? I didn’t make a mistake there!” and then the map goes away before I can see where I went wrong. Makes it feel like the game is miscalculating or just killing me sometimes. I assume that’s not the case, but let me observe where I went wrong and accept it before it goes away forever. 2. A minor improvement: you’ve done a great job at some quick ways to navigate and mark mines such as clearing fields if you click a number that is adjacent to that many marked flags. The game needs a similar speed up for marking flags. For example, if a 2 only has two adjacent fields unrevealed, clicking the 2 should put flags on both.

Not as good as the original

Needs better chaining on

United States

You should be able to tap a number in flag mode and clear spaces without flags. Having to switch back to mine mode to do that is very annoying and not how the OG game worked. Also have random times when I place a flag then it disappears which is also annoying .

Glitchy flags

Real fun to have a mien flag repeatedly and consistently unpin itself. It’s like have an argument with a toddler. Flag No flag Flag No flag

Annoying

I know there’s a new region. Can you stop telling me every time I open the game?

Minesweeper Reborn

An interesting and somewhat clever twist on the original Windows version. It is substantially the same game, but with a different build. If you liked the original, you will almost definitely enjoy this one.

Nice update to a classic

Loved playing this on PC growing up. This has a welcome twist with nice graphics. It could never replace the fast pace clicking of the mouse, which was great because you learned quickly what each mouse button did. I think the closest way this game can mimic that is replace the mine/flag switch with a toggle button. A big flag button in the bottom left corner, and if you hold it down while tapping with other finger. If it’s released then it selects the square. That would make this a 5 star game for sure.

Good, but not optimized for iPad

I would like it if the screen rotated for iPad

Fun but awful controls

jgmay3 on

United States

There’s been a standard set of controls for minesweeper for more than a decade. This app doesn’t have a way to use those controls. Pass.
