I have written a review previously, and recently this app has been great, very useful. However I had a recall message to make a repair . This was done, at my local Mini approved centre. They advised the message could take up to 48 hrs to clear. Guess what, 3 days and counting, and the message refuses to budge. Still alerting me to urgent action when it has been sorted. The car no longer displays the message so why is it not clearing in the app. So frustrating.
Good app GPS is tricky
It used to work but once I added the BMW app to my phone and watch it stopped working on the watch. I have two BMW Group ID’s with different email addresses which I thought would be the best way to do it. I have tried deleting and reinstalling both apps and it doesn’t make any difference.
I have a new Mini Cooper SE (J01 model) and the charge in time slot function does not work correctly. If a departure time is set for less than 24hrs from when the car is plugged in it will start the charge immediately rather than wait for the time slot. If you set a departure time for more than one day ahead it performs as expected and pauses the charge until the time slot.
Easy to use and presents all of the relevant information regarding your vehicle in a clear format (i.e., fuel tank level, service requirements, mileage etc.) - better than most other manufacturers’ apps, in my opinion.
Since last update app no longer notifies iPhone when charging starts and ends can you sort out asap
Upgraded my 2015 cooper to a 2018 one, the app has updated itself and I can no longer connect my new vehicle because it is not supported. BMW Mini does not care about it’s used car customers! I was led to believe when buying the car that it would work with my model but it doesn’t. This app is therefore unbelievably useless for a huge amount of their customers. What a massive letdown. Shame on you BMW mini for isolating your customers with this “planned obsolescence” of this product - something which has recently become illegal in the UK!!
This is my fourth new Mini and it’s the most impressive. Mini has raised the bar in this new version of the Countryman. Congratulations to the Mini team who have inspired and engineered and built this car. The team at Stratstone have once again served me well with my latest purchase.
Left a bad review - even the basic functionality I had on my pre 2018 mini has now gone as the app will not connect to the car. This review has miraculously disappeared- if I could leave negative stars I would.
