To hard to use
For me it’s so hard, because you have to move each part but dragging a line, hard pass

You cannot import your own asset OBJs. This isn’t clear when purchasing which is a bummer because it’s the only app so far that even eludes to character rigging. Honestly, you could make so much money with a stand-alone rigging app for sculpts make in forger or nomad.
Minima Animator (and its companion Minima Sculptor) are really fantastic, simple animation and 3D construction apps. I love the fact that Animator renders shadows on the models. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to use and to render out my first test animation. What I mean by “almost” perfect, though, is that the two apps lack the ability to make any kind of realistic models — the painting studio tools in Sculptor are simply object-by-object color; there’s no possibility to import textures that I’ve found, and there’s no ability to import textured models from other applications like Verto Studio or any other source. I’d LOVE it if you could add some texturing tools, and/or the ability to import obj files from other apps. Currently I use Verto Studio to build models, and iyan 3d Pro to animate them, but iyan doesn’t render shadows. I’d love to be able to use Minima Animator to animate models I’ve built elsewhere. I’d also love a little more manual control of the keyframe tweeners, but the preset tweeners are most everything I need for most shots. That said, if you’re looking to create early Pixar style animations (like, pre-Toy Story) created entirely from primitives, this app rocks. It has a fairly large catalogue of assets, and using the companion Sculptor app, you can create pretty much anything you need. I haven’t dived in to the rigging tools, yet, but the fact that it has keyframe-based animation of rigged models is amazing. I hope the developer will consider improving the texturing tools and maybe provide some more robust modeling tools in Sculptor (like booleans).
This app is great for learning how to animate. And good for Animating! ( wow nice )
This is a great animator, especially for beginners. It comes with a library of assets with it, which can help save time if you need a background or something similar. The sculptor (Minima Sculptor, a separate app) is pretty great, though I will mention that it only works with more basic shapes (spheres, cubes, cylinders, etc.) which can be helpful for beginners. However, it isn’t the best for more experienced animators/sculptors. Currently, you want to add an asset into Animator, you must make it in Minima Sculpt. I would suggest being able to import assets from other sculptors, such as Nomad Sculpt, Blender, etc. I still use Minima Sculpt from time to time, but Nomad Sculpt (and a lot of others, though I haven’t used too many before) have an interface that allows more details and precision for sculpting. Allowing importing from other apps (or files) would allow more high quality animations, but still allow beginners to purchase the cheaper and simpler option. If that is not an option, (say if it would be hard to code the app to allow other file types or wanting to just have people use Minima Sculpt) I would recommend adding in a feature to allow people in Minima Sculpt to draw lines, rather than just use shapes. In all, Minima a great animator and would recommend anyone looking to try 3D animation, or more advanced animators to try for simpler animations. Thank you for reading my review.
I love this app so much
Pretty useless for anything other than a learning tool. For some reason can only open files from their sculptor app, which again cannot be used for anything serious.
This is a fantastic learning tool for people intimidated by more complex software like Blender or Maya. It reminds me of when I first learned 2D animation with a Nintendo DSi and FlipNote Studio—yes, it is extremely limited and in no way useful for professional or client work, but if you don’t have easy access to a good 3D-ready PC for whatever reason, this is the best way to learn 3D animation so that you can be prepared for more complex, “proper” 3D animation software when it’s time to use those instead. The free companion Anima Sculptor does increase the types of animations you can make with this, but like how Keke Flipnote on Twitter has managed to put out some incredible stuff using only a 3DS and FlipNote Studio, I plan on completely maximizing the potential of the default assets (which is less daunting when it doesn’t have a bazillion features like Blender) before I move on to more advanced stuff. In short, this app is great for learning and setting limits so you don’t wear yourself out trying to make a Pixar movie on your first try by yourself, but of course you won’t be able to use this professionally outside of quick little GIFs or MP4s on social media. It will prepare you for industry-standard software and practices, however.
But you should be able to import other models it would be nice And it’s pretty simple if yah know how youse it
I got this app because every animation program I use is bad this is truly a easy great program
