I saw a lot of complaints about the app and this is how it worked for me. I just had to manually connect the printer to Bluetooth from my settings on my iPhone, as if I was connecting to a speaker or something. After I did that a prompt came up that the app would like to connect to the speaker and I just clicked allow and it’s been great! I would say download the app first and then do the steps above to try and connect it. Hope this helps someone <3
Edit: I fixed this by completely deleting the app and reinstalling. That seemed to force it to reset properly. Still not a great app experience though —— Apparently this has been an issue for 2 years?? It asks me to give the app permission for the photo album but when it directs me to the iOS settings to allow access, it doesn’t show up as a setting. Someone in development didn’t update the proper keys in the plist or haven’t updated things properly for ios18. Printer is useless without this being fixed.
Ive been using this printer for years. Stopped using it for about 1 year and when I turned it on again, I can no longer use it because the app is not giving me the photo access for iphone. Its only giving me the camera access option meaning I can only print photos taken in the moment. LAME. Worst thing is, customer service doesnt seem to understand the issue and the back and forth is just unhelpful and a waste of time.
Cannot find my hp sprocket to connect. Idk why this is the app now instead of the original hp sprocket app. Can’t print anything, making my printer useless.

App keeps freezing and shutting down when I open it. Doesn’t function properly. If I get it to the print screen it shuts down right away. Not functional at all.

I’ve lost patience. The App doesn’t work. I have nothing else open on my phone, strong WiFi connection and any simple step takes forever so much that the printer is losing power waiting for the app. Also can’t just print from a photo. Not can’t find the printer. Waste of money if you ask me. Nice updates the firmware, it just won’t do a simple thing action like print.
Whenever I try to let it access my photos there’s not an option for it to access my photos this has never happened before and I hope it can be resolved!
This is not allowing me to allow access to my photos with new iPhone 15!!?! So I can’t use it now?? This is so frustrating!
