MiPermit FAQ

Yes, MiPermit is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is MiPermit legit?
⚠️ The MiPermit app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Easy to use. Almost takes the sting out of paying to park.
First of all, I don’t enjoy paying for parking.
But where I must, this is an easy to use app.
I can only speak from an iPhone users point of view but this app identifies the nearest parking spots using GPS, allows payment using ApplePay, and utilises both the magic island display and Lock Screen to display time remaining on your session. It also allows extensions of parking sessions if the spot allows.
It’s also easy to add you’re vehicle.
I’ve knocked a star off as there’s no Apple Watch complication as yet. That would be useful.
Won’t let me register
It won’t let me register.
Nice app
Good app. Would also like it to support Passkeys instead of passwords and to be able to lock the app with FaceID
Changed the date on my ticket, got me a fine
Has worked most of the time but has a nasty habit of changing the date you buy a ticket for without telling you, made a payment on the 9th for parking on the 10th, but when I came back to my car I found a parking ticket so went to check the app as my the money had already been taken out to see that the transaction hasn’t been finalised even tho the money is gone then books a ticket for the 11th
Nothing works on this app
Worst app ever. Don’t bother using it
Was great, not any more.
This app used to be great, so easy to manage but they have since brought in the ridiculous change by a number of councils in terms of if you leave you are unable to return within 2 hours which would be fine but the way they have done this within the app is poor. If you fail to extend before the parking session runs out you are deemed to have left and with zero grace time. Previously, if it expired you could add a new session as you have not left the car park but now failure to extend you are left with no option to leave the car park. Ridiculous, please use common sense and at least add a 15min grace period which ticket inspectors are bound by before they can issue a ticket to set up a new session.
Awesome app
Great app, needs more location 💯
App doesn’t work with new visitor permit system!
Newham probably needs to update this app because it doesn’t work with the new visitor permit system, it works perfectly fine with the website but not when it comes to activating visitors permits using the app!
Rob you then blame you of stupidity
I tried to use this app, had to authorise the payment in my banking app, & then the MiPermit app failed with a network error. So I paid at the meter & emailed for a refund. Apparently I’m too stupid to know when I paid at a parking meter twice. Customer support is dismal, unhelpful & happy to blame the customer, as automated systems never go wrong. Avoid
Doesn’t work
Renewed my permit and it’s now not allowing me to select a visitor permit.
