Description

REQUIRES THE PEAK FLOWMETER SMART ONE ™
MIR SMART ONE is a revolutionary app - integrated with Apple’s app Healt- that communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy with a Peak Flowmeter (SMART ONE ™) for self-care respiratory management.
The SMART ONE system (app + device) measures FEV1 and PEF using the same exact technology currently used in the most advanced pulmonary labs worldwide.
The app makes the device start the PEAK FLOW and FEV1 measurement.
FUNCTIONALITIES
During the test, the measurements are transferred in real time from the device to the smartphone. An intuitive animation helps the user to perform the test at best.
The app compares the parameter measured by the device with the target value set during configuration, displaying a traffic light health indicator (green, yellow or red) that makes it easy to interpret the test result.
The test results are automatically stored on the smartphone and can be displayed later. For each test the user can add useful information such as symptoms, with the severity grade, and notes.
Note that the personal data of the user (Date of birth, Height, Weight, Gender and Population Origin) are requested by the app for the sole and exclusive purpose of the calculation of Peak flow and FEV1 target values.
SHARING
With one tap the user can create and attach a pdf to an e-mail, ready to be sent to anyone is monitoring his health condition.
The user can also select the time interval to be exported into the pdf.
INTEGRATION WITH THE APPLE'S APP HEALTH
the app SMART ONE is integrated with the Apple's app "Health".
The personal and the health data sharing is performed under the apple's guidelines in order to protect the user privacy
The user can give or deny to SMART ONE the permission to read from "Health" and/or write to "Health" each single type of data.
SMART ONE can write to "Health" the following data (Peak Expiratory Flow Rate, Forced Expiratory Volume 1sec, Height, Weight)
SMART ONE can read from "Health" the following data (Date of Birth, Sex, Height, Weight, Peak Expiratory Flow Rate, Forced Expiratory Volume 1sec).
After the user permissions, the data sharing happens fully automatically, without any user specific action

Was great….

Recent 2.0.6 upgrade of app on my iPhone 13 pro seems to have made the app almost unusable - data and buttons are now white on white or light grey on white plus it no longer uses the screen real estate properly Come on Dev… if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but this is now broke so needs fixing

Only half compatible with Apple health

Abiectum on

Nice and accurate equipment. Unfortunately app only shares data with Apple health about peak flow but not HR or SATs.

Works as expected.

Have had this for 6 weeks now post experiencing my first asthma attack. Set up was easy and data is cleanly recorded and syncs into apple health well. Would be good to be able to upload data to excel; have high low and median readings for specific ranges; and a more dynamic (the axis tries to show too big a range of potential readings) chart function that better highlights variability of both peak flow and FEV1.

Utter Rubbish

DeepCaveDiver on

I bought this as I am an asthmatic and since having Covid decided red to take more interest in my respiration so I ourchased the MIR Smart meter - it arrived promptly courtesy of Amazon (not cheap of course) and then went to download the software for my iphone 8plus which is apparently compatible for the software - the download has not even started saying there's an error - other orograms download so i contacted the company to ask if there's an issue - nothing! HPpily i shall get a refund as purchased via Amazon but the customer service is non existent as all I wanted was a working piece if equipment to do the job advertised.

Issues with view

Half the screen cuts out, can’t see instructions on peak flow page, makes it pretty useless

Good for PF not for FEV1

elf124816 on

It has a lot of options for PF monitoring, including adjusting you best PF so it can work out your % and zones for you however this is not available for FEV1. Its would be a lot more useful to be able you enter your best FEV1 if you know it rather than comparing to your predicted valve. For someone who can trust their PF to truely demonstrate their respiratory health it’s great, also good for people who’s best FEV1 is their predicted!
