Description

miRack is a polyphonic Eurorack-style modular environment. It aims to provide user experience and audio quality close to those of the real Eurorack hardware. miRack can be used to build custom synthesizers, audio and MIDI effects, control other apps and equipment, as a playground to explore and learn modular synths, and for live performances.
miRack is also available on macOS, including Audio Unit and VST plugins.
* Comes with more than 800 modules created by third-party developers and adapted for mobile devices by miRack team. New modules are added regularly.
* Includes AUv3 plugin. Can work as an instrument, audio effect or MIDI processor. Supports parameter automation to record and automate changes of almost any virtual module control.
* AUv3 hosting capabilities (in-app purchase). Incorporate any AUv3 instrument, effect or MIDI effect plugins into your patches.
* Multi-channel audio input and output (in both standalone and AUv3 modes), with full support for Expert Sleepers audio interface modules to integrate with hardware Eurorack equipment.
* MIDI input and output, including MIDI clock sync, and MIDI learn function. Automate and control your patch, or control other software and hardware instruments with powerful sequencer modules.

eurorack на ipad/iphone это супер!!! Большое Спасибо!!!

Just amazing

I started using this software several years ago and have absolutely loved it. I am constantly learning and coming up with interesting patch ideas. It’s also helped me understand music production processes through experimentation and play. I bought a launchpad XL that pairs super well with the app. Controlling a patch with physical knobs and buttons is next level fun.

Deepest synth app available

What’s to say? It is a full blown eurorack modular in an app. Just the mutable Instruments and befaco modules alone are endless but there are so many modules on here that you’ll never exhaust its potential. There are certain things that you can’t do that you can with the physical modules but that usually has never stopped me from achieving what I was going for because you can add as many modules as you need to make it happen. It also has full connectivity via midi so you can integrate it with anything. This app has turned my iPad into a full fledged eurorack modular system. Bravo

Don’t Hesitate!

I bought Mirack as a 77th birthday present to myself, after a lot of hesitation. My closest approach to modular, so far, had been Drambo. Is it too complicated? All those modules- how do I find what I want? All that on an iPad screen- am I even going to be able to see it? Will I live long enough to do more than make electronic screeches and bloops? The first hour with it set my mind at rest. Watch a couple of beginner tutorials (there’s a load of them on YouTube) and you should be good to go. Is it complicated? Yes, it can be, or it can be as simple as an input module and an oscillator. Go at your own pace, but as you see what Mirack is capable of, expect that pace to accelerate. It’s well organized, by category and by module dev- and part of the thrill is just picking a module to see what it can do. Each module has a rudimentary user guide; some go into more detail. Navigation is effortless- pinch, zoom, and scroll makes it easy to get the big picture or make the details as big as you need them to be. I can’t think of another $15 purchase that delivers such a near-infinite array of possibilities. Amd that big question, will I live long enough to get good sounds out of it? I’ve had it a day and I’ve barely scratched the surface and am already amazed. I’m pretty sure you will be, too. For the price of a burger and fries you can’t go wrong.

Amazing just missing one thing

Its awesome, it is missing a 16ch version that works within Logic Pro when using multichannel surround tracks.

Almost perfect

Module selection is a little sparse but it works great and its definitely enough modules to keep you busy and do most things

Everything I wanted for an iPad modular.

This is the perfect app for when you already know a fair bit about synthesis, and at least the basics of how audio and CV routing works. I have stared into the abyss that is hardware modular synthesizers, and the allure to design your very own set of modules and potentially create soundscapes that few if any have ever laid ears on before is alluring. Unfortunately, the cost of entry into this world is next level steep. A single module can easily cost as much as an entire mainstream synthesizer, sometimes multiple times over. Sure, there are lower cost modules, but the top of the line ones are providing modulation and utility that goes far beyond what any regular synth has; like shaping an envelope or generating sequence data using linear algebra equations to modulate CV, or have a massive interconnected matrix of parameters that can all cross modulate each other. This is why people will gladly pour $10k+ on a wall of modules and cover it in miles of patch cable spaghetti to hear a noise that nobody in their right mind would find pleasant. MiRack gives you a playground to try out some of these modules and their neat features on your iPad. The developers seem to be committed to including faithful software versions of well known module designers, like Mutable Instruments. Every module that is not simple and obvious in function either has a built in help guide, or links you to the real life hardware manual on the manufacturer’s website. Many of the modules I have been reading about are here, and it is great to be able to follow along with the actual manual without spending hundreds. Absolutely recommend this for anyone who is interested in this hobby but are not ready to sink thousands into it. One of my favorite apps on iPad, easily.

Needs modules and freezes

Needs more modules or the ability to import your own third party modules. Some buttons freeze up a fair amount like solo on the 16ch mixer and has to be closed and reopened
