Subscribed but there’s still ads showing? how can I get rid of them? Plus, it’s annoying that the app reloads and takes much time when switching from background. Anw, it’s still better than the old version.

I rely on Technology Review to keep abreast of developments of interest to our local innovation community. Over the years, I have found it to be an excellent publication, well worth my time.
Overall great app. One thing to improve for me is when you’re reading and article and you leave the app, when you come back to the article it doesn’t take you the part you were reading , but to the top of the page of that respective article.
The new version of the app is amazing. It finally brings together all aspects of the TR subscription and makes it seamless. Thank you and great job!
You know what you’re getting with the magazine. The app is terrible, I deleted it just to use the web browser instead. The app takes forever to load and if you lock your phone it closes everything and needs to load again and you lose your article and your place in it. Still have the same trouble, doesn’t provide any benefit over using a browser.
I had a subscription and when I signed in using the app, my subscription couldn’t be found. I thought my previous subscription was over so took another subscription. Turns out that my previous subscription has not expired. Reached out to customer, responded after 10 days and literally no use. I cancelled all my subscription. I do not recommended this publication to anyone.
No doubt, the content from MIT is terrific. I’ve subscribed for years. But, the content is so difficult to reach. The app can’t keep me logged in. And reading in a browser constantly requires logging in and it’s common to loose the article I was logging in for and need to start all over. I’ve complained multiple times to the staff directly. They never have a solution that lasts. If I wasn’t addicted to the content I would happily drop this annoying process. Wouldn’t you expect that the smart people at MIT would be able to make the subscription and logging in process work? The New York Times can do it, so can many others.
I have been a reader for many years but I’m new to the app. It was easy to connect my subscription and I love that I can save articles to read later. Definitely recommend - you can’t get these technology insights anywhere else!
