The MK Verifier app verifies the EUDCC by checking the authenticity of the signature of the DCC using the public key of the DCC issuer.
The aim for the EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) framework is to enable the safe free movement of citizens in pandemic situations as COVID-19. Therefore, people need to receive proof of their health status which could be verified by other countries.
