Fantastic Simplistic Budget Tracker App
I started using this app just as a budget tracker, and to give me a better understanding on my spending habits. After using it for a month, I do have some hiccups that I have come across. Across iOS and iPadOS the UI is quite slow and unresponsive at times, making it a bit more frustrating when all I want to do is check one specific area of spending (eg. groceries spending, I have to wait for the category tab to load, then wait for the grocery tab to load, etc.). The app doesn’t scale well onto the iPadOS system very well. For instance, using it full screen or 2:1 split with another app in the smaller view is fine. Any smaller, either in stage manager, in 1:2 configuration with another app in the larger view, or in slide over the app interface folds in on itself and doesn’t perform well. All-in-all, It’s a beautiful app – and if you can get past the new monthly payment to change category names it would work well for most people. However there are some things that hold back the potential of the app, like the UI and the iPad scaling. If you’re using it as an app that helps you understand how your budget could look over the next few paychecks, then this is the app for you.
