MoneyWiz 2025 Personal Finance

Mostly okay, though there are loads of bugs in the Mac version that make it a pain to use the interface. The numbers add up okay, though it gets frustrating to have to be affected by the bugs all the time.

For my personal finance I migrated from 'cash organizer' and I am VERY satisfied - I researched a lot of apps and probably this one is the best for apple users . I wish I could use this app for my business finances as well , but unfortunately 2 important features are missing - account sharing and windows or web version. Sharing is possible, but it's either all accounts or none .. and in most business scenarios that's not very useful. @developers - please consider😊🙏 I would love to even pay premium for these features (like for for bank sync) and probably there are more users like me

Other apps I use was previously Bannking, Update changes to the app create your own personal income unlimited amount choose any amount you create. money Wiz made changes to the app i would rate my full review of 5. please app made changes easy app without stress. please

I downloaded this app at least 2 years ago and we still can't have mixed splits, credits and debits. I check on this feature every now and then. Can't believe this has not been fixed yet

If you are looking for a really nice checkbook app you have found it. The developers update often to make it perfect. Well worth the yearly charge.

It’s pretty cool but crashes way to much.

Really like the improvements in this aspect that allow to select the font size and theme but would be awesome to add a feature that allow to set a custom font as well - like avenir or any others - also on the font size area will be great if can allow the app keep system settings size or set any other as desired in case we want to have more space on screen. I know these are not functional related areas but can allow to have a more modern look to the app while using it and make it less heavy to the eyes according to each user settings.

…and after all of these years that they have been around, and self proclaiming as the “fastest improving app” (they are anything but), it still has several quirky functionality issues and missing basics that have been in other financial applications for 30 years. Some of these missing elements I have personally requested for over 5 years—while I was still using Quicken—but they never came even when promised on the horizon. If your primary software developer is hiding in a basement in Ukraine it should be a signal that you need to hire someone else somewhere else. I eventually tried MoneyWiz for the last year but am moving on. It is nearly 2025 and you still can’t enter a paycheck with deductions (i.e. split transactions). No other app omits this obvious requirement. Too many developers focus on the “latest and greatest” nonsense that has no value, yet miss out on the basics. Do you really need to look at your “daily” allotment when you are planing an annual budget with 7 figures? It has no relevance. Why is there no reporting ability beyond a single year? Who plans for retirement for one year? I should note that I do not use any bank syncing functions (which is where most of the complaints come from) as I will never do that with any application for various reasons—you are crazy if you do. I have also used Quicken and Banktivity for years. I finally realized that the only way to get all that I want and none of the fluff that I don’t is to build my own database/spreadsheet, graphs, and reports which I recently did. I will never have to pay for financial software or the dreaded subscription model again for functionality that serves no purpose or underperforms in general. You can too. Once upon a time we did it with a checkbook and a pencil.

Was looking good on MacBook although it seemed a bit pedestrian. It does forecast account balances which is what I was looking for. But then I made a test budget and spent fifteen minutes trying to delete it but couldn’t. This app apparently has to use “the cloud” to work. Signed out but it hung-up trying to sign back in and didn’t. Wasted two hours. Accounting software should be extremely reliable but this doesn’t feel reliable at all to me. Mehhh. Doesn’t matter cause I can’t spend more hours trying to figure this out. Throwing in the towel.

I need to manage my accounts from different countries especially as I travel. This app allows me to do that primarily because of the international currency support.
