No difficulty settings

Very well presented but it's always the same words and there is no difficulty setting. It would be much better if you could limit it to 1-3 letter words (dog, cat, man, boy, sky...), then 1-4 letter words (girl, ball, game, play....), then 1-5 letter words (horse, house, woman, lorry....).

A little too advanced for under 5s

I love the monkey preschool range, but this app is a little too advanced for the recommended age of under 5s. My 3 year old is learning to recognise the alphabetic and their phonetics and the American accent doesn't really help

Wrong Reading Scheme for UK

We love THUPs other games but this one has a serious problem as far as we are concerned and I have uninstalled it. Most schools in the UK follow a phonetic reading scheme. This app uses word names rather than sounds and our son's school strongly discourages us from deviating from the recommended reading scheme.

Great game!

We have the other 2 monkey games and this one is just as good. My 4 year old daughter had no trouble picking up and playing it with very little help from me to get started ... The only problem I have is the American letter pronunciation confuses her, but this hasn't stopped her playing and learning so I'm still happy!

More of the same - a good thing

My 3 and 4 year old love Monkey Preschool Lunchbox and Monkey math sunshine, so it was as given we would try them on this. Following the same formula found in previous Thup games means the kids find it easy to drive the intuitively and without frustration. The games suit 3-5 year olds and difficulty increases with ability (there are 3 login profiles, so up to 3 children can log in and continue from where they left off). Brilliant-we look forward to thup's next offering
