This app makes learning every chord a fun challenge, and it removes the tedium that can come with music learning by making it a game! Perfect for beginners of all ages,all you need is a guitar or ukulele! What's more, you can even create your own music through the Composer Mode!

Monster Chords also introduces the Composer Mode, a simple, user-friendly tool that lets you create your own songs. You only need to choose the tempo (or beats per minute) and drag and drop chords to start making your own groove. Upload your own songs and share them with your friends, or play songs created by other users!
Monster Chords ranks chord playing with a simple and friendly star rating, allowing you to practice and improve your guitar skills over time. It also includes a guitar tuner minigame that you can play in either timed or easy mode.
With 50 challenging levels, kids will absolutely love this approach to learn chords, and will keep coming back for more practice. Levels/songs will be added every month, so there will be lots of new content to look forward to.

I can’t do it
When I strum my guitar it’s not working
Great for beginners
This is a cute app for guitar beginners or you can buy for full access. I’m sure there’s more there when you do, but I like to tune my guitar with app. I love the yays and cheers.

Doesn’t work
Videos don’t work on iPhone 7, tuning also doesn’t work
I imagine there are helpful instructional videos that show you the basics of the ukulele in this app, considering it opens the IOS video player intermittently when starting the app, however these videos don’t play, and can’t be manually played from anywhere near as I can tell. It’s just a black screen with a volume slider and a play button that doesn’t do anything. Beyond that, attempting to tune the ukulele isn’t much easier. I’m sure the videos would of explained something about this, but instead I’m fighting with a star that simply won’t rise no matter how high I tune the G string (nice) of my ukulele. I’d hazard a guess that it’s because it’s trying to listen through the microphone of my earphones because this app, weirdly enough, recommends earphones which is odd considering one would think you’d need your ears for listening to your instrument but I wouldn’t know much about that because I’ve got no clue how to play any instrument, thus I tried this app which was recommended in a story on the App Store.
Cute, wholesome, simple
I really enjoy how this app has gamified recognising and remembering guitar chords. The earliest few levels are slow, but they forced an impatient learner like me to revise chords instead of moving on too quickly. This app is a good complementary learning tool for beginner guitar players. Very cute graphics and premise - makes me smile. I don’t often go for subscription-based apps but am happy to with this one.

Too easy, could you make it so there are harder levels that you can access without having to go through the painfully slow learning stages? It’s a pretty good idea but I don’t think that I’ll pay anything for harder stuff though.
