Great game but…
The amount of microtransactions is horrendous - I understand cosmetics, I understand possibility to buy items that require a bit or a lot of grinding, but if core items (like healing items) are not replenishable by either grinding resources and crafting them that crosses the line a fair bit - that is why this game is not worthy of 5*. However as a “fidget game” for late evening walks it fits pretty well, and also finally it is not a Pokèmon game (franchise i personally do not enjoy since DS came out). In regard to MH franchise it holds up fairly well f.e. same monsters in appropriate biomes, same armours and weapons, similar (though very grindy) upgrade system. All in all I enjoy it, nevertheless do not get your hopes too high since as every f2p game it is a cash grab so be wary
