Engaging in the story and then suddenly I'm forced into a Match 3 game. After that, I enjoy the story again and it forces me into another Match 3 game. I customize my avatar a bit, which is stupid because it isn't used anywhere but this one screen only you can see. I spend all my gems on boxes and then go back to the story expecting to see my icon and such and nothing. I get back into the story and then suddenly I get hit with a "Pay 19 gems to select this option" choice? I already spent my gems on an avatar and frame! Not even one I like! I don't have those gems. So I get teased by the story that I couldn't see the image, which I eventually get to see anyway, and suddenly I'm hit with another 19 gem choice, and another one. Then I get tossed into a group call and everyone bails when Eric sees a car and i'm thrown into another awful RNG Match 3 game and lose and notice I have lives that recover over time so I need to get some god luck to even pass the Match 3 game and even if I do it right I need to do it 4 times!! I want to play a cool detective game not a stupid Match 3 game!! This was a complete waste of 2+ hours of my life.
Sick of AI
As excited as I’ve been to play this game and see the kind of story Everbyte has put together this time, I’m incredibly disappointed by the use of AI. The thing I really loved about Duskwood was how beautifully creative everything was from the story elements to the design choices, and how much it brings you into the world. The second I see an AI image, that suspension of disbelief is gone. There’s no real care behind that. I hope to see improvements, but I’m sad that the team’s response so far doesn’t bode well.
Disappointed
Tons of players (myself included) have expressed wanting the multimedia pack back. To have to buy gems for every single premium option honestly just feels like a huge money grab. Extremely disappointed with the decision and how it was “addressed”. Bring back the pack!!!!
There was a twist….
While playing this game at fir at I struggled a lot the gems and such made it difficult to unlock story paths and conversations and the mini games were really hard even though it’s only the first episode.
But after restarting the episode a few times….
I got a good understanding of the mini games patterns and on what videos or chats to spend gems on and at the end the time rewind bonus made everything click into place as I realized that you can unlock all of the story and stuff without needing to pay tons you just need to wait a little longer as it’s not about instant access it’s about fully diving into the story and that makes me love the game so much thank you for this game.
Pretty great
It is a pretty good game, it is not like Duskwood but still pretty Awsome but the only thing that hits hrs me is that there is no premium option which means I have to keep buying diamonds in order to do the special things
Micro transactions
I’m really disappointed in the micro transactions. I want to unlock everything not pay for every worthwhile action in the game. I was really excited for this. Its a major let down.
Cash grab
Absolutely loved Duskwood and was so excited for moonvale to come out.
But it’s nothing like Duskwood, it’s almost all AI, you have to pay for everything (19 gems each) no premium package which I would gladly pay for instead.
Most of the characters are AI, you can’t see anything that you sent or videos you saw, the people are just AI profile pictures and they want you to gamble gems on getting an AI profile picture you can’t even pick the one you want.
So disappointed in this game, please fix it so it is more human like Duskwood I can’t afford to play it this way.
Pay to win (need’s premium option)
I’m still in the beginning of the game, but already players can tell its a pay-to-win game, which is why it is a 2/5 star. Unlike Duskwood, there is no premium option to purchase to unlock all photos/videos in the story. This severely interferes with the story and is really unfortunate because it makes the game unplayable. It’s understandable that the hard work put into the game should require some sort of compensation, but this method will stride players away from the game.
Please release a premium option similar to Duskwood, you will probably see much more purchases as well.
