"Jordan's very capable use of his unique invention- MorphWiz must be a Godsend to his road crew. It's important to note that no Moog synthesizers were harmed in its production."

"It's completely awesome and inspiring to play!
Absolutely loving it!"

MorphWiz is the second app to bear the Jordan Rudess name. MorphWiz is partly inspired by the Haken Continuum Fingerboard, a radically innovative and revolutionary MIDI instrument that Jordan uses on stage and in the studio with Dream Theater.
Like the Continuum, Jordan Rudess' MorphWiz is a vertical grid based musical instrument that allows a whole new level of expressive control!
If you're a beginner, you’ll love experimenting with all of the presets, but if you’re a professional musician, you will soon be blown away by one of the coolest methods of controlling sound that you've ever laid hands on.
Jordan states, “Our goal was to create an instrument that would allow the seamless morphing of the audio and visual domain while delivering a seamless musical experience. I believe the iPhone/iPad multitouch platform opens up a whole new world of creation of electronic musical instruments and we’re proud MorphWiz is our first major offering. My experience and involvement with the Haken Continuum and extraordinary Bebot app brought to life an advanced pitch control system that is still uncharted territory for many in today’s music instrument world. This is the heart of MorphWiz.”

MorphWiz Reviews

Love this wizz!!

I've been playing with the morph wiz for a few years now, and I'm blown away by it. I'm a beginner at music production yet I'm drawn back to this synth for its simplicity in use and complexity in sound! 5stars!

Bit of a let down really - not worth the price tag

Great interface...but some of the cheesiest preset sounds available. Replace the presets with sounds that don't sound like they're out of a kids cartoon and this would be good. As it stands, it's just frustrating that the sounds are terrible - a good app ruined.

Continuum and synthesizer in the one app!

This app is one of the greatest iPhone music apps made, flowing with ingenious ideas you can spend all day playing it. It's a great conventional continuum to take where ever you go

Great but needs fixing

5 stars for an app made for musicians. True genius and it has to be coming from Jordan! Can modify scales/modes to fit on screen. Gonna get an iPad now :) Has slightest of slight latency on iPhone 4 Thanks Jordan! You da man.

Must get this!! Works now on iPhone 3Gs

Ya gotta get this on

I saw this used live when DT was in Aust last year now finally found it and not disappointed. It is great and massive, still trying to get used to it but the hours do disappear once you start. Go ahead, it's cheap at twice the price

One of the best apps for the iPad

Machine Elf on

Outstanding app. An amazing amount of work has gone into this app, as well as the thoughts of one of the best keyboardists on the planet. Wonderful attention to detail, such as the pitch correction between notes that still allows for a full vibrato. Full customabiility of the synth instruments, the key, the scales, the amount of notes on the screen. Just a brilliant creative tool. But don't start playing with Morphwiz around midnight...you won't get much sleep. I'm speaking from experience.

Magnificent!

You start fiddling with this and find an hour has gone by. (I think that's a good thing!)

Amazing - The MUST have music app

I was hesitant to buy this app, mainly due to the price tag, but i tell you what, it whould be worth double or triple the price from the obvious amount of work that has gone into this app. there are tons of presets, scale options, customisation option etc etc etc. and if you step back from all of that, it simply looks and sounds awesome. i would use this live on stage its that good. you can really tell that this was made by a top notch musician. check out Dream Theater as well, Jordan Rudess who made this app is their keyboardest and just by listening to his playing you may get an idea of what sort of person has made this app. BUY IT NOW!!!
