This is great!
I can only get this mic to connect with the app only about 2 out of 10 times that I try. I have an iPhone 11 running iOS 17 and I want to use this mic to record my band’s performances. I have now bought two of these mics and have the same issue with each one. I’ve tried everything I’ve read online to solve this problem. My iPhone’s battery can run out of power rather quickly so I bought a camera adapter so that I could use this mic and also provide power from a portable battery. I read online that that might not supply enough power to the mic so I also bought a USB hub charging port to use in conjunction with the portable battery and it still won’t connect. The firmware is updated, the lightning charger port is cleaned out, I’ve tried multiple cables that I know work, the Motive app is updated and it has permission to access the microphone, and I’ve tried restarting the phone several times with no luck. Well, like I said, it will connect maybe 2 out of 10 times. I really want to use this mic because it has the best sound quality out of any IOS mic in it’s class. Do you have any advice?
The Motiv iOS app does not even recognize the audio interface hardware made by Shure. You have to configure it with Motiv program on a ~laptop~ a la 1999. Get with the program Shure!! I been using Shure mics since early 90s, but y’all behind the times.
Me encantó es muy completa

Do you have to have the mic? I am just using the built in mic but I can’t hear any playback. I know it picked up my voice due to the waves but I do not see any way to show me what exactly I need to do to just play back my audio.
I really enjoy this app when it’s working properly but recently I haven’t been able to adjust the mic gain it stays on -18 db. I use the MV6 and the other issue I have is I have to plug and unplug the mic in order for the app to read it. Please fix these issues as this is critical for my podcast! Thank you!
The MV88 Desktop app (Win10) is buggy and doesn’t seem to recognize the condenser mic. Then I learned the Desktop app is being end-of lifed, but the Shure website doesn’t indicate in Support, or the FAQ, what the new alternative is, or how to get it, nor even confirm the obsolescence of the Desktop app. All of this is NOT a confidence builder for the mobile MV88 product that should run equally well on IOS, Android, and Win OS platforms!
Dear Shure Support Team, I am experiencing an issue with the MOTIV app on my iPhone 13 Pro. The app detects my MV2 microphones, but it fails to connect and displays an error message: “Make sure your microphone is in pairing mode.” Here is a summary of the steps I have taken to resolve the issue: 1. The microphones connect easily to the Move receiver, and they previously connected without issue on the MOTIV app. 2. I have deleted and reinstalled the MOTIV app, but the problem persists. 3. I have rebooted my iPhone 13 Pro several times. 4. I reset my network settings, hoping to resolve any potential Bluetooth issues. 5. I reset the microphones by holding the power button for 6 seconds or until the red and blue lights flashed. 6. I installed the latest firmware for the microphones through the desktop application, but the app still does not connect. Despite all these troubleshooting efforts, the microphones remain unconnected by the MOTIV app on my iPhone. I would appreciate your guidance in resolving this issue.
Little things randomly stop working like the cut/edit feature or the play button from the locked screen mode
