Content is great, but app is not

Anton Rang on

No dark mode; supports side-by-side on iPad but chops off text on the sides if used; “done” button doesn’t support swiping to go back; missing sections like arts & education. I love MPR, but this app doesn’t do it justice. Use their website instead.

Terrible Streaming App

AndySMpls64 on

United States

What can I say that hasn’t already been said.? This app is just terrible. There are three primary problems: when you move between Wi-Fi and cellular service, the app always plays an ad, as if you are joining the service for the first time. This is ridiculous, especially when you are working in the garden or the garage at the edge of your Wi-Fi and you’re going constantly back-and-forth. You have to turn off Wi-Fi, then later you will have to remember to turn it back on. The second problem is that the artist/song title is constantly freezing up displaying hours old data, until you restart the app. Finally, the service frequently just stops working, for no apparent reason, regardless of proximity to a signal. You have to restart the app to get it to stream.

App woes* on

I read some other refused and noticed that this was a problem other folks have experienced. I'm finding myself listening to the news of other cities because their apps are more reliable. This is really unfortunate. I dragged out my old radio but radios have problems too.

Not User Friendly and does not support listening to MPR news stories

Does not support listening to MPR news stories. The news story stops when the phone locks the screen; doesn’t move automatically to the next story both of which are features of NPR apps available from other NPR stations.

Everybody Be Cool on

News is *new*, but this app neither sorts by date nor gives you a way to mark stories read. Deleted, because I’m just not interested in having a murderer’s face shoved into my eyes day after day due to your social media algorithms trying to drive engagement. I expected more from MPR.

MPR News will not open

New format does not work on iPhone 8. Instructions say choose from list on left but said list does not appear- only a blank narrow column of white. This member of 48 years is not happy.

No longer works

Sixarmfarm on

United States

App only flashes on the screen but then doesn’t open. Doesn’t even show as open in the app manager. Tried uninstalling and redownloading a couple times but it does the same thing. So wasn’t great to begin with but now it doesn’t even work. Disappointing
