Muraajah Map

Hifz Revision App

Published by: Ammar Hassonjee

Description

Muraajah Map is a simple, yet powerful app designed to help people maintain their Hifz or “Memorization” of the Qur’an by creating an interface for tracking mistakes made while reciting.

Muraajah, also known as revision, is a foundational piece of completing the process of Hifz, where what has already been memorized is recited again, to strengthen its memory and ensure it’s not forgotten.

Muraajah Map features a beautiful interface with intuitive features designed to help you manage your Muraajah in a smart and tech savvy method on your phone as you complete your Hifz journey, or if you have already become a Hafiz - one who has memorized the Quran.
The app allows you to set a daily goal for how much Muraajah you would like to complete in one day, by amount of pages or amount of "Juz", otherwise known as chapters. After setting your goal, you can begin recording a recitation session starting from any page in the Quran, where you can tap and drag on a single word or an entire "Ayat" or verse to mark it as a mistake, or write down a note. After finishing your recitation, your mistakes and notes are saved to reports that you can view at any time.

By leveraging all these features, Muraajah Map helps you to stay on top of your revision so that you do not continue making the same mistakes over and over again and your memorization of the Qur'an continues to be strong time after time.

Key Features:

GOAL SETTING: Set a daily amount for how much Muraajah you would like to complete in one day, either in amount of pages per day or amount of "Juz" per day.
NOTIFICATION REMINDERS: Set a notification in the morning or evening to remind you to complete your daily Muraajah goal.
MISTAKE MARKER: After beginning a recitation session, tap and drag on a word or across the page to mark mistakes wherever you have recited incorrectly. You can even select the type of mistake you made, such as I'rab or Tartib, or even write a note. The mistakes and notes will then be added to a report that you can view after completing your recitation.
NOTE TAKER: Tap and drag anywhere across a page in the Quran to add a note while reciting that you can view after completion.
REPORTS LIST: View a list of previous reports from recently completed recitations, to understand when you recited a specific chapter, how many mistakes you made, where you made a mistake, and what type of mistake. Before you begin reciting a part of the Quran, Muraajah Map will show you the last time you recited that specific part and what mistakes you made in that portion, so you can ensure you don't make the same mistakes again.
