It’s a gimmick. It’s a come on. Would bd a fun game except Energy is set at 1 Energy for every 7 minutes. And every move you make is 5-15 Energies. Do the math please. Unless you buy a rapidly decreasing energy, you have no chance of solving what actually is an engaging story. Save your time and don’t spend your money on this loser money grubbing game.
So… are you ready to acknowledge the energy issue yet?
Hello.
Writing wise, this game is great. The voice acting is great, the story is great, the gameplay is great. I have no complaints about the game itself whatsoever.
That being said, the games MECHANICS are the issue. Yes, many games out there are cash grabs, but the point of a game is for people to enjoy playing them. Why are we taking away from that? Let’s say I’ve had a long day at work and would like to come home and rewind, open up my murder by choice game, and relax for a little while. I sit down, boot up the game, and start playing. I feel GREAT! But oops! I’m out of energy? Already? I’m thinking: time must fly when I’m having fun! But that’s not the issue at all, is it? In fact, it’s only been FIVE. MINUTES. It does not make sense to wait 10 hours for 5 minutes of game play. That is just common sense. It does not make sense to pay even $3, for 5 SECONDS of game play. Seriously, something HAS to change.
For starters: energy should refill every MINUTE. Not every 6, 7, or however long it takes. Perhaps it refills 2 energy per minute, that works for me! When you watch an add, you should earn 20 energy- AT. LEAST. Maybe even 30-50 if I’m honest. In the game, things should be cheaper. 40 energy on a conversation is excessive. Things like that shouldn’t cost so much energy that you’re waiting all day for a 2 second cut scene. Let people enjoy the game the way games were meant to be enjoyed!!
And if you respond to a review (as you have so many) DO NOT simply say “we’re listening to your feedback and trying to make the game the best we can!” How about an answer. In fact, I think all of us would like an answer. WHY have you not fixed the energy issue? After so many people have complained?? Why have you done NOTHING to fix it? I’d quite like to know! Is it too difficult to program?? Are you finding issues implementing these changes into the game? Are you too busy to try? Or do you just like the possibility of finding frustrated player willing to spend all of their spare change on energy for a game that lasts 2 minutes all together? Please do enlighten us. WHY ARE YOU GUYS NOT FIXING ANYTHING?? The point is not just to LISTEN, but to ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING. It’s bloody frustrating, that’s for sure.
Hurry please!
I know you’re working on the new Chapter but it needs to come sooner than soon because I have forgotten about this game waiting 😁. I’d give 5 stars but the energy factor is still an issue.
When is Murder by Choice Wedding Bells Starting
Hello, I really liked Murder by Choice…but I have been waiting for the new Wedding Bells version. Could you please let your players know when it will start. Thank you Diana
Constant low energy
The game concept itself is fun but the fact that the “energy” you need to move from room to room and to complete tasks is gone in 5 clicks is very annoying and has made it very easy to lose interest. There should a way to get free energy without having to download other games. That is ridiculous. You can no get into the story of the game because you can only play for a max of 2 minutes before the energy runs out then it takes all day for the energy to regain. The playing to waiting ratio is quite literally awful. I will be deleted this game right after this review. I gave this game a weeks chance to see if it starts to get better or if there are new energy options but there has not been any. I would give zero stars if possible. I was very excited for this game as I love hidden games where you have to find objects but this one is simply not worth the time it takes to do one search for 1 day.
Don’t play unless you want to spend A LOT of $$$$
As others have stated, the game is great when it comes to the storyline, graphics, and characters. However, the energy system is a rip off. Every little thing costs energy; a conservation, clicking on objects in a mini game, and handing people object. Not to mention, watching an ad won’t even actually give you the 10 energy like it says. It takes two days for the energy bar to fill up!!!! It’s quite disappointing. If you want to play a money hungry game, then this is for you.
Exploitative even by free-to-play standards
A hidden objects game where you have to spend energy on every single object or dialogue option, and you naturally regenerate enough for a few minutes of play every day.
A game that relies so hard on a constant server connection that it won’t even keep your progress if you go out of range for a second.
This is as close to unplayable as I’ve EVER seen a game get.
Costly
The game and story line is fun but it takes wayyyy too much energy to do any task and then have to spend money to get more which will probably deter people from wanting to continue playing
Love it, but…
Great game, engaging, interesting story line, and not too terribly easy or hard. However, each task, like deciding your response to a question, requires 10 energy points - when you’re finding hidden items, each item you find deducts 5, and it takes 7 minutes to earn 1 energy point. Needless to say, you burn through energy real quick - but hey, you can always spend a small fortune to continue playing by purchasing additional energy. I get they want you to spend money, but the ratio between the energy required to play and earning that energy is just far too great for those of us that do not have room in our budgets to frivolously spend on playing a game. You can earn tid-bits of energy by completing tasks, but you need energy to complete them. As much as I truly enjoy this game, the aggravation of waiting so long for a few minutes of game play is more than I’m willing to deal with, so I am deleting it. 😒
Good game, but need to pay
Pretty good game, but if you want to play more than about 15 minutes a day you’re gonna need to pay-to-play!
Update: typical (and constantly repeated) response by developers. Completed this game, but will not download another by this company
