Really great App...but

Sights3 on

Have, sadly, had to update my original review, after using this app for the past 3 years. Whilst, in all honesty, this app has much to offer, it does not appear that the authors are at all interested in continuing to improve this app; refining it to a higher and more useful level. There are many muscles that are unnamed, or are named when looking at them in a particular view - the Tricep is one example. What the authors appear to have done is develop a "Premium" version of their app, and are charging for, what I assume, is an upgraded version of this app. I have just purchased a new iPad, as I need to update important apps used in my clinic. I want to consolidate my several anatomical apps into one "complete" app. I cannot recommend, and am reluctant to purchase the 3D4Medical version, as I have no assurance it will ever be updated, but that the authors will, yet again, bring out a bigger and better version of that - and charge me again for the upgrade. Great way to increase sales, but not so good for the user. Just my take on things.

Amazing app to learn on the skeleton with.

Joeamazon on

Learn names of bones & their landmarks, and go into descriptions of each. Add your own notes and draw on the skeleton; which I do to show clients various muscle attachments, and include your own pins with relevant notes. Rotate with a swipe or swipe up or down for either inferior or superior view. At this price it can't be beat

Why change what was great

MUZZRAT on

I really enjoyed this app. However the quizzes are less intuitive and the new sectional zoom doesn't allow you to pan superiorly or inferiorly as you wish, only in predetermined sections. I'm not sure why this was changed, I simply cannot see the benefit. Before this update, quite competently this app could achieve 5 out of 5..

Great app

Cant get it to work on

As a Personal trainer and Group fitness instructor I use this app all the time. It is fantastic for reviewing muscles and showing my clients just which muscles they are working when they are doing a particular exercise. I have had this app for well over a year and would recommend it to anyone in the fitness industry. This is the first time I have EVER recommended an app. The only problem I have with it is the speed that it loads but I am assuming that will improve when I update my Ipad

Great but no Latin

Dr Stroodle on

Great app. Could be greatly improved by having the complete 3d rotation like in their Essential Anatomy app. Also, I study medicine in Germany, and I was expecting this to have the latin names (which we use here) like in their other apps, but unfortunately it doesn't :(

Great study companion

Julianpitt on

Bought this app for a reference while studying anatomy and it's clear that a large amount of detail and work has gone into making the app. Great to see they actually have animations of the muscles in the area and the skeletal attachment feature is amazing. Overall really happy with my purchase.

Muscle Pro 111

Bowenlady on

I was happy for the first 3 weeks of use. Now the PINS will not work. What is going on ??? Do you have a problem?? Is anyone else having this issue ?

Great app, but integrate more systems!

jtdubss on

A really great app visually and easy to use. Very comprehensive but for muscles only. Could use some slice views in each of the peripheral limbs, and would be much more useful if some more systems were incorporated into this app, instead of buying an entirely new app for each joint with all of the systems involved. Can you combine all of those apps into one please? It's frustrating to think that I can't even see labels for bones and ligaments, or peripheral nerves and vessels. Otherwise, as a future physiotherapist, I think it's very cool and informative for patients.

Popotxo on

I found this application really healthful with my rehab clients where I can show them what muscle/groups I'm trying to stretch/strengthen. The app has increased my anatomy knowledge and I can communicate better with the physiotherapist I work in conjunction. The application is dynamic, intuitive, easy to learn and fantastic. Thanks for your amazing job guys Iker Zabarte Personal Trainer

Ok, however...

Hot_Rider on

It is decent, however it is just not worth it at the moment. The 3D animation is jittery, made up of many images rather than a true 3D model and so only rotates on the Y axis. Worse still, once you find the perfect angle to view a structure, clicking "label" to identity structures takes you back to one of only a few pre-programmed views, making it a bit pointless for learning. In all, a cool concept but really wont teach you anything, rather than maybe show you a few views that you may not have seen in books before.
