Totally improved my listening experience. I just happened to bump into the pro version after using the free version for years.

After spending 2 weekends getting all my cd’s ripped to my NAS server, the final step was to add the NAS share to Kodi. I discovered this app while looking for info on how to set up lyrics, and was blown away. This beats the crap out of navigating my immense music library using the remote for my firetv cube that I have my Kodi install on. It’s very well thought out, and pretty simple to set up. The feature set is deep and thus far it seems pretty solid. It even has a shortcuts feature to switch between multiple Kodi servers (and we have two of them). Very impressed!

XMBC/Kodi tries to do it all, muddling the interface. This app focuses on the music. Love the cached library, ease of queuing, but most of all the widget for super quick control of Kodi. Two suggestions (sorry :-) first: tap & hold an album etc to get an add to queue shortcut, second: shuffle albums (tracks in albums are in order). The iPad app really shines with a view of whatever I want. Like a list of Albums and then Artists all at the same time. Usually I can't make up my mind and go back and forth. No more. Also pretty nice artist info feature-- can read about artists from multiple sources

This app does everything I want it to for playing music in Kodi. One wish: that it would ignore "the" in artist names so, for example, The Beatles aren't sorted after Steely Dan.

Update for 4.4. November 19 2016 Marcus continues to enhance his app adding improvements to the functionality and user interface. This app provides an incredible user experience with Kodi as a music player. For those new to it Kodi is an outstanding music player playing all formats and HD resolutions. Kodi Music Remote provides the best access to a music collection that is unsurpassed by any music app I have seen. Marcus is a dream developer. Taking user feedback and consistently building feature requests in the app. My favorite is a shortcut function added so I can control the server easily without going into the settings. And now allows an easy switch from server to server. I can't stress enough the outstanding combination Kodi and the Kodi Music Remote make for a music playback system. Just the best! Update 4.0. Bob Silver Original Review version 2.xxx I use XBMC as a client on my hifi. Laptop connected via USB to a DAC to play hires music. Controlling this in a nice way without all the other xbmc aspects interfering with my experience was a desire of mine. Found this remote and was just what I wanted. Started with the free version but them immediately bought the Pro. For $1.99 was worth it just to support the developer. Plus it's totally worth it. Developer seems responsive from what I can tell adding features and bug fixes. No problems here. Set up easy and fast. Works perfectly. The Pro version has one feature that for me makes it worth the price. The ability to initiate a library scan. I use a NAS for my music and often update it. This way right from the remote I can do this. Great. I had used itunes remote with iTunes. But iTunes doesn't play flac files. Xbmc plays everything. Very happy. If you want a music remote get this. This app was made with absolute love, you can tell. Markus has tamed my huge music library with this app. Unlike ever before, I can now play my favorite music and even music I haven't plaid in years SIMPLY because it's finally so accessible! Some of the best money I have spent in all my years on the App Store. 2 requests: 1. User changeable background within the app. 2. Karaoke. Please consider letting us control our karaoke libraries as well. I understand that 16.x doesn't support karaoke, but many of us are still on 15.x simply because we love our karaoke too much to upgrade. Thanks a ton, Markus!

Good layout. Simple yet does everything. I only wish that in the future, the background color can be changed.
