The best tool for learning music theory that I have ever found
I have tried a lot of music theory apps, and this one is by far the best I have seen. It offers a very well organized course with practice quizzes that truly help to learn the content. It also has options for multiple instruments, and using the guitar option has already helped me translate what I have learned to my instrument without having to actually pick up the instrument, which is perfect for times I’m away from your instrument. Highly reccomend! One suggestion I have for the developers: please add interactability with the entire guitar fretboard when doing quizzes. This would be useful for memorizing where common notes lay higher up on the neck. Thank you!!
This app has been my companion for a couple years. Keeps me on my toes, and in the car offers tests/games that actually exercise your musical mind. Only thing missing is left-handed mode for instruments in tests. Other than that a truly perfect app for students and experienced musicians looking for a refresher
This is app is teaching me a lot but I’m running into a wall not having midi keyboard support. I need to play what I’m learning with the app. Still, though, thanks for the education!
When I told my musician friends I wanted to learn theory, they recommended this app and it took me from beginner to having a solid grasp of it very quickly! I highly recommend this app!
In terms of both theory content and practice exercises I would say this is the best app I have found. All lessons are easily/quickly accessible as well as their corresponding practice quizzes. The quizzes allow input on either instrument or via clicking the notes. Without too much effort I found my comprehension and most importantly retention of the content progressing quickly. Have already recommended!
This helped me grind through some concepts that have eluded me for years and held me back from progressing on guitar, as well as from communicating effectively with other musicians. Stick with it through the first section, really drill it, and then it all just builds on that foundation. You can do it!
I just completed all 5 stages of the theory and done all the exercises. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning music!!!
A must have app if you don't know much music theory The value is insane for beginners. I was looking everywhere for theory books and apps for piano and this was the only one I found. It has delivered 👍 However, I can see this app not being too helpful if you already took some music theory classes.
