MusicBuddy: Vinyl & CD Catalog

I have bought Music Buddy very recently needing a catalogue to replace an old, now unsupported, one. Importing an entire database was very easy. Adding new content especially so. Nice looking, intuitive to use, lots of parameters should you need them. Most important is the help provided by the developer to new, unsure, users is excellent. Highly recommended.

After deciding to catalogue somewhere around 3000 albums this program is amazing. Easy to use, small footprint and incredibly cheap. Multiple options of entering the data and the program fills in all the album details including album cover. It actually makes it a pleasure to use. Can’t praise it enough

It’s a great app and the tech support from the developer is brilliant, always happy to answer questions very quickly. Before entering your collection though I would recommend have a practice run and make sure you get all the detail you need importing from Discogs in the set up in MusicBuddy. I wanted to distinguish between cd and vinyl and it wasn’t until I started scanning cd’s that I realised the ‘media type’ wasn’t coming in. So I’m having to export to csv, edit, then re-import. No major hassle but I could have avoided it and maybe a later release would allow a ‘refresh’ option from Discogs, to update any additionally selected fields? Just a thought. I would really recommend this app though.

This is maybe the best money I have ever spent on a app. Gone are the days of using a notebook and pen. I have been trying to think of ways to improve this and the problem is I can not.

I was desperate to find a way of listing my cd collection so that I could refer to it at record fairs and/or charity shops. MusicBuddy works so well, allowed me to list 2000 items in a few hours and giving me so much information about each album including the art work. When the app doesn’t recognise the barcode it is also simple to add items manually. Excellent app.

Having just bought this app, and it’s everything I wanted. Highly recommended

Not sure if this is the best music logging app out there but it’s pretty good. The annoying thing though is you can’t change anything en masse. So if you put Format as LP for 60 LPs and then realise after its Media LP and Format Album, you have to go through each album one at a time to amend. PAINFUL!!! So it’s a very slow app to use.

Following house clearance after a family bereavement we found ourselves with 1000’s of CD’s LP’s & DVD’s to catalogue index Etc..Your software is absolutely brilliant for the task in hand ..Thank You!

Does everything I want. It is a joy to use and really flexible. The developers are extremely helpful and have been able to answer my various questions. I recommend the suite of 3 apps which use the same intuitive format. They are among my most used apps. Thanks guys!
