MXBus is a monitor mixing app for all Behringer X32 and X-Air mixing consoles that allows musicians on stage to control their own monitor mix with their iOS device. It also supports the Midas versions of these mixers (M32* and M-Air)
It features stereo channels to save screen real-estate, namable groups and automatic console discovery. Musicians can control the send levels into their monitoring mix bus for all channels aux tracks and effects returns.
It makes the sound check painless and allows you to adjust the mix during the gig.
Some key differentiating Features:
• Linked channels are treated as a stereo channel to save screen space.
• Double tapping a fader knob sets it 0.
• Double tapping the panning control on a stereo channel pans the signal hard L/R. Another double tap reverses the panning.
• NEW: Springboard and Lock Screen widgets for quicker access.
And as always: The app is built with data privacy in mind - no adds, no tracking!
The PRO pack unlocks even more features like:
• Decayed meters with peak memory
• Compression meters
• Gate LEDs
• Channel mute buttons (X32)
• Group mute buttons (X32)
• Unlimited groups
• Scenes
• Bus EQ
• Bus Compressor

Thanks for the vote
How much does MXBus cost?
MXBus has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is USD 3.99.
Not much more needs to be said, the layout is uncomplicated, connectivity is easy. Most importantly it works every time. Also works with Midas lunchbox. If you use a VPN turn it off when using this app. The VPN will cause connectivity problems, i.e. you wont find the console.
Never works
Never works when hookup to I phone
Everything I need, nothing I don’t… Almost…
Simple, elegant, intuitive, and it works every time. I only have one minor problem: It’s not available for the other consoles I frequently have to use. Would love to see this for the Allen & Heath SQ, QU, and CQ boards!
Exactly what you need for Monitors
As a professional audio engineer, the Behringer app is fantastic on my iPad. However, I do not know what they thought when they made their iPhone version. Trying to walk non-tech-savvy musicians through how to mix their in-ears with Behringer’s app isn’t worth the trouble. This app is exactly what Behringer should have made. Simple and straightforward. My musicians can now focus on their playing and not trying to navigate a complicated app. Props to you for creating this app. Although I do not need the features I will be buying the Pro version to support your work.
Best I’ve seen
This app solved the final problem on our mission to switch to in-ear monitors (IEM) on our Xair XR-18 : how to provide a simple easy to use method for band members to control their individual mix on an iPhone. The Behringer Xair Edit app for IOS only runs on iPads. The other iPhone apps I investigated were either unstable or not easy to use. With MXBUS, everyone in the band was instantly able to get to, and adjust, their individual mix because the bus name on the console (their name) appears immediately in a list on startup so little chance they pick the wrong bus. No issues with connectivity in a crowded venue.
My big ask: a port to Android?
Works great unless on a 10.0.0.x subnet
I use this app and love it. It works perfect on my 192.168.68.x subnet. However bandmate also has an XR18 at his house but his network is 10.0.0.x and the app will not find the mixer. Furthermore if I type the known IP address in, then the IP address field turns red.
The other apps such as MX-Q and the X-air app all work fine on the 10.0.0.x subnet.
4 stars because of this minor issue. If you are on a 192.168.68.0 subnet then it should work great for you.
Wing support?
This app is amazing, please download and support developer.
Will you add Behringer wing support?
Can’t connect
Mixer shows but when I tap on it, nothing happens. I also typed in the up address manually and still nothing.
Bug
There seems to be a bug controlling the bus eq. Changes seem to affect other busses on an m32. Otherwise i love the app.
Works okay
Seems like every update I find different bugs. We use these to give control to our singers to mix their own in ears. Would love a direct contact with the developer so we could get them corrected because Apple doesn’t have an efficient way to get with them. When this app works properly, it WORKS.
