Is My Books free?
Yes, My Books is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is My Books legit?
🤔 The My Books app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I’m sorry but, being an avid reader, I feel the lack of (very basic) features you would add: you placed there 50k books with terrible few searching/filtering tools (they ARE a need).
1. Search tool manages every word like all others, no difference between authors, titles, genres, languages etc.
This can improve by using search prefixes (e.g. author:Heinlein, genre:sci-fi, age:1930-1970, lang:IT etc.)
2. Into sections, no filter or search at all (seems crazy to me): only thing is a sort by title/author/… but then there is no “folding” (all author’s books grouped into a quickly reachable place) nor a filter (e.g. show “Heinlein” books only, or show a subset filtered by “…”) which leaves the reader in front of a giant list, hard to manage.
Didn’t see if is there a way to create a custom section but I believe that’s enough for me, I’m sorry. My compliments to give access to such wide books source, and 99% for free, but big things needs big tools also, to manage them. I hope you’ll take this advice for the best and will develop them, as I hope to come back, one day, to give 5 stars.

Ottimo, mi ci sto trovando molto bene. È intuitivo e, a differenza di molte app che lo millantano, gratis per davvero. Ottima alternativa a passare il tempo su Instagram o con stupidi giochini. Consigliatissimo per chi ama i classici e vuole sempre averne uno a portata di mano.🌹
Avrei dato 5 stelle piene se non fosse per un singolo bug:
- l’opzione di sottolineatura (a mio parere geniale e FONDAMENTALE) c’è, ma non funziona!!! VI PREGO FATE QUALCOSAAA e giuro che aggiungo anche l’ultima stella🙏🏻😅
a good app become unusable
Freebooks underwent some renovation. I found this out when I tried to open my Library, a carefully collated group of beloved books, and found that they had disappeared, ( no word to me ps), the icons have been replaced by ugly vulgar ones, Romance, which had A Trollope and other excellent books, has become Love, and every page is occupied by a large Kindle ad right across the page, flickering and impossible to shift. Well, as I have Kindle already, this is wasted on me. It just makes the new version unusable. Shame!

Trovo questa app molto interessante, spero che ampli la scelta verso libri di altre tradizioni culturali in Asia, Africa e Sud Africa. Da tenere d'occhio, intanto mi diverto molto usandola.
I keep on finding interesting this app, still I would like to see more books from other cultural areas: Africa, Asia, Europe ( both Eastern and Western)... I do think it is too much US-centric.
a lot of free book... but with the upgrade....
in the old version you can read the book while listening to it... now when you open the text book, the audio stops.... please, fix it! I absolutely loved this app, but now, for who is using it to learn a language, isn't more useful than other (completely free) apps on the web. fix it and for me it's a five star!

App molto bella, però la caratteristica degli ePub è quella di essere interattivi, avere delle scritte cliccabili che riportano ad altre pagine. Io ne ho tanti così, ma questa app non permette di farlo! Aggiungete questo e saranno 5 stelle meritatissime!!!
