My Chi Parks Reviews

Useful!

MethEngine on

Does what I wanted: shows me what is happening in the parks, where they are, and on what day. Could it have more features and a slicker interface? Sure, but this is a free app put out by the parks district, and considering that I am actually quite impressed with how good it is. Recommended.

Design system improvement needed

melimayi on

United States

Development team needs to revisit their design system to reflect new phones as my iPhone 12 back button is way to close to the top of the header.

Not the app I used to know

Saehild on

United States

Finally redownloaded after years of not using it. This new version is *not* optimized for iPhone 13 screens, the top and bottom UI clash with the native IOS buttons and make them incredibly annoying to tap. More simplistic view of events associated with each park but it seems like either they cut down on events or things are missing. Also miss classes at each park buildings being listed. App feels chopped up, not redesigned.

Not as useful as I was hoping

All flippin nicknames be taken on

I was hoping that in addition to general events, I would be able to log into this app to keep track of the classes my family signs up for. It’s probably useful if you want to see what’s going on in the parks, but if you use the park district for more than the free events, it’s not as helpful as it could be.

Missing key element to make useful

Sue DeNhim on

United States

I downloaded this due to an upcoming visit by a pal with kids. I’m trying to help plan a great visit. While I can search by date, I have no way of knowing if the events are anywhere near me without clicking on each item of possible interest. There should be a way to easily identify future events within preferred locations (without having to know the names of the parks). This would increase the apps usability significantly and help expose people who don’t often use the parks to the wide offerings available. I hope this functionality is added soon.

Wonderful App

Great app to find shows, movies and events near my location !!

Cruel & Unusual Links=Punishment

😡😡😡🤬 on

United States

Why have links in your app that are screwy? As some man pointed out to me, late last night as I futilely wandered the park, 500-5700 N Lake Shore Drive is NOT AN ADDRESS! Why on earth have a live link to nowhere? That is just CRUEL! REMOVE IT! FIX IT! Why leave sloppy crap on your app? This is not your first season. There’s no excuse for this. The fact that other park link addresses are accurate actually makes it worse, because the public trusts you at this point. If you have an event at the Historical Museum, LINK THE ADDRESS OF THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM!!!!! Jeez.

Worthless

Great app

This app is amazing at the summer time. Obviously Chicago wouldn’t have events at parks in the cold winter. Which is when the other reviewer was looking in this app

Won't open

After the update the app won't open, all you see is that it just keeps loading
